Amazing, well done! Well deserved

A poster advertising the talk, with a large Lincolnshire flag and two photos of mud and stud cottages - low, white-painted thatched buildings. Across the top are a series of shields and flags representing Lincolnshire, England and Willoughby.
I'm very much looking forward to speaking to Willoughby History Group (nr Alford) on Saturday about mud and stud. It's fun to be giving this talk in the heartland of the technique, and I'm also very excited to be able to share about the Mud & Stud Buildings project - and invite them to get involved.
I feel your pain, I hope someone manages to get it for you

Hi Martin, sorry, I thought I had an answer for the Lincs placename query, but then decided it was wrong so deleted the post!
Sorry, that should be Harrowby Lane!
I will, unsurprisingly, be looking at it from the viewpoint of the smaller houses which made up the vast majority of Lincolnshire's C17th housing stock!
I'm very much looking forward to chatting to Lincolnshire Family History Society's Grantham branch about the #hearthtax tomorrow evening (Wed 18th) - come and join us! Harrow by Lane Methodist Church hall, Grantham, kicking off at 1930
You have clearly never met an elephant seal...
A game of Star Realms (deck-building) with TLJ on the TV in the background.
We're enjoying the stream and playing Star Realms - does it get any better?
I haven't been asked, but if they do I can promise that I will be very honest about where they can stick that idea!
The whole thing smells to me like when you let your two year old hold your aged dog's lead. They think they're being given huge responsibility and trust, you know it is entirely irrelevant...
That is very exciting news, here's hoping Lincolnshire might be one of the early counties to be released!
Happy New Year to you too!
Or today Nun Cotham, it's up near Brocklesby, and was Cistercian for at least some of its history arts.st-andrews.ac.uk/monasticmatr...
Could it be Nuncotton?
A snowy scene, taken at night, of a triangle of roads with six trees in the middle, and old farm buildings on each side. The side roads are covered in snow - as is the grass - but the main road in the foreground is mostly clear
Well it's 11 o'clock at night but it's snowing for the first time this year so I couldn't help sneaking out to enjoy it. The snow is really odd - soft and fluffy but weirdly dry in the hand, even when you take a handful back home to show the rest of the family!
Hmm, given they've blocked access it would be pretty reasonable, if it's a particular article(s), to put a shout out to ask if anyone has a copy - I know I have 'one or two' saved in Zotero...
Thank you very much for reporting it!
Pesky East Midlanders that we are...
Hmm, now that you mention it, I'm struggling too. I can log in fine from the website, but then trying to click on an article to actually read it I hit the pay wall...
These guys make amazing music, and this one is in aid of a really great cause. Please do support them however you can afford to! And then go and check out their inspired songs...
@thelongestjohns.bsky.social have a beautiful song called Fire and Flame about it. Worth a listen...

A mud and stud cottage with lovely daubed walls, thatched roof and brick plinth. It looks really inviting and makes you want to go in through the door and explore.
I'm absolutely delighted to share that I have just been appointed Project Officer for Lincolnshire County Council's new Mud and Stud project. Really looking forward to getting stuck into the first proper county-wide study of its indigenous building technique!
I hope you're already aware of this, but if not it might explain all! youtu.be/R5TTA4f7Q3E?...
A surprisingly close-up photo of Selby Town Hall's stage, with various guitars, banjo, drum kit and fiddle. Just missing some Ponies!
Really looking forward to @elponypisador.bsky.social in Selby tonight - and we got front row seats!
Not long now - really looking forward to speaking at Counting Chimneys tomorrow!
Can't wait to see you in Selby! Suuuuu
@romanpalace.bsky.social are a ray of sunshine every day
Picture shows a mud and stud smokehood exposed when the thatch was removed. It is made of timber and earth walling, but has been cut off below the ridge line. It originally served two fireplaces. The rafters and ridge-piece are much altered, but bits of the reed under-lining of the ceiling within survive
Really looking forward to speaking at the 'Counting Chimneys - The Hearth Tax in Lincolnshire' conference on the 25th. Everyone is welcome, book in now! www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/counting-c...
