Working on a project using KonvaJS -- making public my collection of learning resources.
Next up: React Three Fiber / ThreeJS
Switched to this from UptimeRobot recently. Very satisfied.
I was reading an article on wikipedia about a local attraction that has a very old primary image. and I was like “I could take a better pic” but was also like “I wonder what the oldest picture from anything around #Dubuque actually is…”
Portland has bummed me out the last few times I've been there; the magic seems lost.
But this is absolutely beautiful.

Coolest data visualization I've seen in quite some time. Not just the visualization itself, but the explanations of the data. Very easy to understand.
To be fair VS Code was highlighting that comma red all day long but successful compile is successful. File being loaded at runtime. 💀
Not allowed at day job 🫠
welp just lost 20 minutes to a trailing fucking comma in a JSON file. why?
Super cool map from Esri's StoryMaps team. Did not realize Illinois produced so many pumpkins...

Bummer that UptimeRobot decided to pull the free license for business users. Had been using for years before they gave notice that I'd have to pay up.
I'm good on that. Spun up an instance of Uptime Kuma on my utility server and now have more features than I did before.

just got Black Friday-ed into buying this...
The settings themselves are in Settings > Moderation > Moderation Lists. Create a list and you can start adding.
I've got a script I can send you that'll search bios for a string and iterate over the accounts and add them to any list. How can I send it to you?
if you're looking for a politics-free experience, I'm maintaining this moderation list of folks with overly-political bios. Blocking both deep red and deep blue folks. bsky.app/profile/marp...
I'm new to @11ty.dev, didn't even realize v3 had come out days before I went looking for a new SSG. I had a lot of fun learning, wrote a few quick-tip articles on the new site, too, too: www.sandtoken.com/writing
at least it's easy to find these accounts, it's literally all Bluesky is recommending right now 😒
anybody got protips for keeping the Bluesky experience politics-free? Starting a list of accounts to mute: bsky.app/profile/did:...
I need this nostalgia rn
**Let’s Connect**
11/ If it seems like I'd vibe with you, hit me up sometime. I’m always happy to listen, brainstorm, and see where we can take things together. Tech is cool, but connecting with good people is better.
**Beyond the Code**
10/ When I’m not building things, I’m spending time with my family, playing guitar, or working in my garden. These moments keep me grounded, reminding me why I do what I do: to create space for the things that truly matter.
**What Drives Me**
9/ I believe every piece of software should serve a purpose: simplify, improve, or inspire. I don’t chase buzzwords or trends for the sake of it—I chase the impact a project can have on someone’s life or work.
**Why I Keep a Day Job**
8/ I work full-time at Esri, building integrations for ArcGIS in Microsoft 365 apps. Freelancing isn’t my main gig, but I'm in love the novelty. Every client and project adds something unique to my story.
**Founding Sandtoken**
7/ After informally freelancing for a few years, I started Sandtoken with one goal: to fill tech talent gaps for businesses in my community. It’s not just about tech—it’s about helping people solve problems that matter.
