Thanks! Planning with a colleague for a course next fall and we are interested to hear the conversation!

For those of us interested on the East Coast, will this event be recorded or live-streamed?

USMC EWS in Annapolis!
Having recently played the indo-pacific version in a PME setting, I’d say that was one of the key attributes of the game. For someone unfamiliar with EABO and the MLR and a growing set of PLR capabilities, this was an excellent way to engage with unfamiliar units, capabilities, and plan accordingly
James A. Dun shares a record of 4,428 discrete voyages between Philadelphia and a variety of Dominguan/Haitian ports for scholars to explore. Click for Dun's introduction to the project (with a BONUS StoryMap!) ageofrevolutions.com/2025/04/28/a...
Blow it “yet” - still plenty of space for the remaining draft picks and other pre-season moves!
And I also forgot about this fabulous smaller museum that does a superb job: Trenton Old Barracks

The marvelous people up at Fort Ticonderoga. Either Matthew Keagle or Cameron Green: www.fortticonderoga.org/about/staff/)
I'm thrilled that "The Myth of Continuity in American Gun Culture," a long (79-p.) article that I spent most of a year working on, has just been published in the California Law Review www.californialawreview.org/print/gun-co...
I've long wanted to see these. A 1797 box of British infantry companies, designed to teach formation changes to new ensign. A forerunner to gaming? Only 2 surviving copies? This one at Society of Cincinnati library.
A reminder that I'll be giving a talk in DC at the Society of the Cincinnati headquarters, on March 13. If you're in DC and want to NOT think about the government...

Sing Yup Kim has an article on small debt litigation and justices of the peace!
The SUNY chancellor who is destroying colleges like mine is paid 4x what the governor makes and, get this, lives in Maryland.
Sorry, didn’t mean to be an annoying!
Pretty sure this is the 4th U.S. Colored Regiment (and not the 54th Mass)
Was re-reading William Sewell’s “Historical Events as Transformations of Structures” today and wondering where we are in the “cascading series of further ruptures that will bring about…changes in cultural schemas…and the emergence of new modes of power.”

Had the opportunity to think, talk, and write about Rev250 in response to #JERWinter2024 for @thejerpano.bsky.social - As countless others have said, writing and talking with colleagues helped me better prepare for teaching the American Revolution this spring.
If you happen to be in the Philadelphia area, I am doing an event for my most recent book at the Museum of the American Revolution (@amrevmuseum.bsky.social) this evening at 6:30pm.

Immediate solution for Stand in Forces, EABO, etc: DDGs Flight 2 (and newest rendition). Littoral Combat Ship had a special troop connex. Reinforced platoon is the preferred force size. Fully integrate USMC forces aboard Navy DDGs. This provides an immediate solution for the MLR, etc.
Artifact of the day is this Continental Army uniform coat worn by Col Peter Gansevoort when in command of the 3rd New York Regiment during the Siege of Fort Stanwix in 1777. The coat is in incredible condition for its age with fine details on the buttons & hearts in the corners of the coat tails.
For us across the sea, will any of this be recorded or live streamed? Or just in person?
🙌🙌 the Van Buren Boys
It would be nice if EWTG offered that MAGTF fires course that perpetually sits in MCTIMS without any courses actually offered…or some equivalent to educate those in the fires community on emerging capabilities & doctrinal changes with EABO/StandinForces (especially for the folk in the reserves)
