I feel like I do have to qualify that I have had some great opportunities and doing okay even if I am still technically unemployed… But that doesn’t change the emotional impact of all of this shit.
I learned some theatre info that I can’t talk about yet but that devastated me, and then found out someone who l have fond memories of working with in theatre back when had passed, and also one of my dearest friends is currently dealing with unfounded slander in the theatre community…

A while back, I put all my diplomas in cheap frames just to protect them a little bit, and sometimes I see them in my closet and wonder if I should hang them on the wall in my office. But then I remember I could hang some BG3 pinup prints on that section of the wall instead.

Hello, yes I am interested in your TTRPG actual-play; in addition to years of experience as a player and GM, I am a playwright with a specific background in new work development, and I have tons of experience in production management with a side of marketing and some audio and video editing.
It’s the beginning of a new year and I am unemployed, so I think now is the time when I’m supposed to go to all of my socials and yell:
I’ll have to send you a list, I looked at so many! Mostly a lot of scenarios I’ve already played (or that I know Miskatonic Playhouse has a playthrough of) to find my list of options to run for Q&C. (I almost managed to have a different era for each pick on my final list too. 😂)
Spent half of today reading Call of Cthulhu modules and the rest desperately looking for a planner that has the same layout as the perfect one that I normally get that is out of stock. Standard first of the year.
The problem is that it was actually a good book! With a lot of very appealing-to-me-specifically themes! I just could not lock in! 😩
I’m normally a very fast reader, but I’ve had one book that’s been kicking my ass this last month. I finally finished it…but it’s also the first in a trilogy. 😩 So now I have to decide if I’m going to force myself through 2 & 3 for completion’s sake, or if I just call it.
Going back to DOS2 after many, many hours of BG3 feels like picking up any other fantasy TTRPG after so long playing 5e - the inventory management is brutal and leveling is a nightmare but it also feels challenging in a way I’ve missed. 😅
This evening is the last of my (planned) games in which I ruin the holidays - join us at 5pm Pacific tonight as I return to Meme of the Month on the Majestic Goose Network with a nice, cozy little definitely-not-evil holiday movie game mashing Warmer in the Winter and Monster of the Week!
