Love this so much! A Philly scientist and artist (@sarahmackattack.bsky.social and @megstampede.bsky.social) have teamed up to protect our area’s biodiversity:

A tweet by Sarah Longwell (@SarahLongwell25 ) reads: "He’s threatening media companies who are critical of him. He’s talking about sending Americans to foreign prisons. He’s signing executive orders to investigate former staff members who spoke out against him. Don’t you see what’s happening here?"
I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

Sycamore seed pod moment - offering a little meditation and small bright beauty.
I recently pulled out this piece I made in 2021 when studying "movement chaplaincy" (community accompaniment and care). Another time of deep unrest and fear.
Hoping to dig into this and expand (or root deeper in) on the ideas here. Attached are the ideas I was rolling with at the time.
[photo: Six orcas move through calm water. The image is taken just above the surface of the water and the image is slightly overexposed from the sun shining off the water, creating a dreamy glowing effect. Four of the orcas have a small portion of their backs visible above water while the other two only have the fins visible.]
Telling folks to just "plug in to community" rn is well-meaning and if you can do that, wonderful. But most people are not super connected to community for many reasons. So, if you don't have community rn that's ok, consider finding 2-5 ppl you can form a pod with.

Hello. Not sure how I'll use this platform. Not a twitter user, maybe I'll adapt. Things I'm thinking about:
✨Pic is from annual physical (hate dr appts)
✨Unlearning the language of thinness is hard work (therapy consideration of the week)
✨Visualizing my creativity as an empty vessel, whats next? 🕳️
