Fear as a motivator doesn’t really work on me. I remember when a math teacher had a syringe on his desk. If you don’t get the answers correct, he’ll inject you with something to “make you smarter”.
Me, being a smart ass, knew he couldn’t for legal reasons. Of course it was a novelty pen.

Dentists are great as an autistic adult.
You spend childhood being told that, if you don’t look after your teeth, they’ll cram a pair of pliers in and rip everything out.
Then, when you’re in absolute pain as an adult and have to get treatment: “Why didn’t you come sooner?” 😩
Who could forget the massively successful Eric and the Floaters 2016 reboot...
“What you got in there?”
The guy who named ‘Street Fighter Ex Plus Alpha’ about to make history:
It sucks how the tech industry has made people so cynical and jaded to actual innovation. The "It's not as effective as a car! 🤡" and "They're using it in military applications" diatribes...
I hope something like this does inspire creativity and some optimism for the future.
Considering I was around for the documentaries centred around ASIMO and how difficult it was to replicate human bipedal locomotion (not just walking, but all of the things so obvious that we naturally do without thinking), this is genuinely impressive to witness.
I make an effort to cover my phone camera with my finger when holding up my phone vertically, so people don't assume I'm taking a photo of them.
As a result of this? Sluggish removal when I actually have to take a photo. :\
This is like how I manage to get my thumb tip on every photo I take with my phone.
I've become far more ethical in these efforts in recent years, too. I try to keep things to stock and product images and maybe screenshots that are widely available. I try not to edit something original that someone has worked on, only using a non-photo PFP when in contact and never with malice.
Aside from "It's killing the planet, it's making the rich richer, and taking jobs from the skilled", the reason I do not use Al is that not using it is funnier.
Laboriously making something absurd, working around problems, sticking in little in-jokes and references... You can't prompt that.
I have this game...
Why, oh, why... Did I sleep on this game...
Nobody:
Cats on Catnip:
Bardock as a Super Saiyan, but you thought I meant Goku, right? Don't @ me over a joke please.
Aw yeeeeah
I hope this version adds Goku
"Can you describe your anxiety?"
*Emails the therapist this picture*
"I meant, verbally share your experience, but this is better."
That's nuts.
I’ve always wanted to hold a small pinball tournament where the only rule was that you’re not allowed to move Meatloaf.
A similar sequence that I love (and I'm heartbroken more games don't at least try out) was in Dino Crisis. Chase the bad guy, your comrade dies. Knock out your comrade, the bad guy gets away.
Option 3 is not presented: Knock out your partner, chase the bad guy yourself, get the best ending.
Yeah, I like that it's an obvious ruse on Mr X's part, something to get infighting going. But, the whole twist of going for the whole syndicate and steam-rolling Mr X even takes him aback, he is disgusted by the situation. That bit of judgment along with "You Are Great!" really sells the intent.
I would've given him the little ascot that the Quaker has, but... No neck, and that was kind of an issue. :\
I had fun with filters. I thought "Yup, he's definitely getting the hat" then I noticed the sign and the rest fell into place.
I mean, I just had to...
Heck, living in the same country it set in was enough to inject my anxiety with performance enhancer, jeez.
All while chanting "We have the power to bring his end", no doubt.
I watched Threads a few years ago in a class on unpopular texts...
I get the feeling that The Bunker would destroy me. :|
Reviving this thread a little bit because folks in it were curious to learn Japanese, and Humble just released a Lonely Planet/uTalk bundle: www.humblebundle.com/software/lea...
I totally get it if people eschew Humble for their recent faux pas, but this looks good to me.
Overall, it was one hell of a bargain for a child. 6 full games. It was a little while before I got additional games for the system, as I was fairly content with what I had.
Streets of Rage is fantastic. I loved to play as Adam, because I got a kick (pun intended) out of his uppercut combo jolting the enemy upwards on the spot. I remember when we got a second controller, and my mom and dad turned it into a fighting game, the two protagonists slugging each other. XD
Of course, I loved the original Sonic. It blew my mind a little that this cartridge worked with Sonic & Knuckles... Because of course it did, any non-recognised cartridge played that orb mini-game. Still, as a child with ASC, I spent most of my time trying to collect EVERY ring in a stage. 😂
