Congestion pricing and so many more transformative transit policies would not exist without Lisa Daglian's passionate advocacy at @pcac.org. Thank you for your leadership!

Congestion pricing is working! Ridership is up and growing faster than in previous years. Read our full analysis in PCAC's latest report:

In the first year of congestion pricing, New York City's subway system saw 90 million additional rides 🤯
Few things better than when public policy works as designed.
Very, very cool news from @pcac.org — there's been more than 90 million additional subway rides since the beginning of congestion pricing in NYC.
We've already know it's raised $$ and cleared the air, but it's clear it's incentivizing transit, too!
Another bill that would significantly water down and create massive loopholes in ACE/bus lane enforcement has been introduced. Glad we at least know it exists before it's passed this go around. If you live in AM Taylor's district, voice your concern! @2avesag.as @ridersalliance.org
Fair Fares has the potential to bring more affordable fares to over two million New Yorkers. We're calling on Mayor Mamdani to expand the program so that all subway and bus riders can afford transit 🚇🚍

The data shows SCOUT works. Our groups
@pcac.org @rpa.org asked Gov. Hochul to make the MTA SCOUT program permanent and expand it to 20 teams in the FY26-27 budget

"Transportation is an important piece of the affordability puzzle." PCAC Associate Director @bhfritsch.bsky.social spoke with Greg Mocker of PIX11 about the importance of expanding Fair Fares to cover minimum wage workers. youtu.be/kGPPajyO4bw?...
New this morning from State Senator @shelleybmayer.bsky.social and Assembly Member Kassay via @cityandstateny.bsky.social: "Lower LIRR and Metro-North fares for families make for a more affordable ride"
#FairFares can deliver affordable transit and faster commutes to millions of New Yorkers within @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social’s first 100 days.

As we approach Thanksgiving this week, we're grateful for the (seemingly unlikely) partnerships that helped bring #CongestionPricing across the finish line.
Great piece from @pcac.org about the work to make #CongestionPricing a reality!
"Our experience shows that when there is unity around a shared vision, even the most entrenched urban issues can be alleviated." PCAC's Lisa Daglian writes in Smart Cities Dive. www.smartcitiesdive.com/news/nyc-con...
LIRR Commuter Council Chair Gerry Bringmann and PCAC Research & Comms Associate Jack Connors were pleased to join @senatorcooney.bsky.social at the Long Island Contractors' Association HQ to discuss Long Island's infrastructure needs ahead of next year's state budget. Thank you for the invitation!
Investment in our region's commuter rail is a huge boon. It's not only good for commuters — it's an investment in communities across the state and the region.
Great op-ed from @pcac.org Lisa Daglian in @crainsnewyork.bsky.social this week:
Modern signals mean frequent, reliable service for subway riders — but it'll take time, effort, and good communication to make it happen.
Great quotes from @pcac.org @dannyintransit.bsky.social in this @crainsnewyork.bsky.social piece on subway signals:
PCAC's Lisa Daglian writes in @crainsnewyork.bsky.social "We stand at the threshold of a new era for New York transit—one that distributes benefits across the state while preparing our system for generations to come. For that, we commend the @mta.info and @governor.ny.gov." t.co/vSPmaTNgjg
@pcac.org statement condemning @usdot.bsky.social's decision to hold NYC infrastructure and antiterrorism funds hostage. Totally infuriating and ridiculous: pcac.org/pcac-condemn...
"'There are two [discounts] that we've been pushing for years, and we're thrilled that the MTA sees the wisdom in those recommendations,' Lisa Daglian, Executive Director, Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee to the MTA (PCAC), said." patch.com/new-york/wan...
Like clockwork, summer vacation season ends and weekday subway ridership instantly returns to the 4M+ level. We should set a new post-COVID record next month when subway ridership generally peaks for the year.
Celebrating a big CityTicket milestone @pcac.org today, nearly 25 years after we first advocated for it. Glad the @mta.info is making it permanent and the default option for rail riders. More of this, please!

We sent comments to NYC HRA calling on them to make the Fair Fares program truly fair for NYers by increasing the elibility threshold to 200% of the federal poverty level -- what most other cities are already doing, per @pcac.org

Half-fares will be accepted at all times. Currently, half-fare tix r not valid on AM Peak trains (an exception in the law permits agencies to charge full-fare during peak hours). No mention of express buses, tho.
@pcac.org heavily pushed this. It's a small revenue impact. Most condrs let it slide.
