admittedly the bar isn't high, and ideally this would be the baseline, but feels like ngs's plot has a decent sense of purpose and direction now. imo it's better than post-aegis developments.

heck, it's got me pretty interested in seeing what they're setting up for in april, so good on the team.

like, actual interactions between characters that isn't just dialogue for dialogue's sake, expands on characters' relations and current going-ons, and talks about unaddressed things in the story and world (!) without circling needlessly around the point. all welcome developments!

reposting this here too: currently playing through pso2ngs's most recent story update, and all this post-vael stuff feels... interesting.

there's no big improvement execution-wise (much of it is still tell rather than show), but i do feel like the vibe has subtly shifted for the better.
