I spent my whole life working in IT including some very early work on AI. I can understand the slow learning but AI ‘making things up’ means all output is suspect and needs checking. It hugely devalues the obscenely expensive technology. It is not fit for purpose yet.

It is the best book in Albuera (said by someone who has written one). It had some ‘contentious’ points but they are well argued and you can make up your own mind.
