Accuse Noam Chomsky all you want, but nothing will ever diminish his enduring legacy as a trusted advisor to a child rapist and valued consigliere to a sex trafficking ring.

As my thoughts develop on AI: I agree these tools have socially-beneficial *potential*.

Also, in a moment in which unabashed technofeudalists are using AI to help them execute a terrifying global power grab, you cannot be surprised that their targets don’t want to focus on its *positive* aspects.

NYC is an extremely safe city. ICE and related federal agencies are actively and purposefully making it less safe. As they stir up violence in the coming days, remember which side it's coming from.

Needlepoint of the words: “when they go low you fucking punch them in the neck so they know you mean business. This is about power not affect.”

Every six months or so I’m reminded that this is one of the most true things anyone has ever said.

Under the Bush administration the demand was “we must have the unreviewable power to kill or secretly imprison any person on the face of the Earth based on undisclosed criteria that leads us to conclude the person is an enemy combatant.” We were invited to trust the government to make that call./1

for over four centuries, the Gulf of Mexico has been sitting there, minding its own business, doing its watery thing. everybody was happy, and nobody thought twice about it. but that was before Mad King Donny rose to power, stamped his tiny little porcelain doll feet, and threw a technicolor shit-fit because some other country’s name was all over his water. it’s all so clownfuckingly childish.

Whether it's Hillary Clinton sharing risotto tips on a private email server or Elon Musk giving full access to all government information to a nineteen-year old named Big Balls with ties to a child pornography collective known for its extortion techniques, both sides have played loose with security.

If it weren't for all the fascism, the 21st century could be fantastic. I don't even have to remember to hit save fifty times a day. Frees my mind up to think about all the fascism.

I think when we tell the truth about what Republicans are doing, and when we're unafraid to do that, it generates momentum. When we lean into the momentum that we generate, and when Democrats aren't afraid to throw a damn punch, then we can see that we can yield results.

I don't believe that we should, you know, cower in the face of tough issues. I think people are looking for strength. And the reason why I think some folks in the Democratic Party have felt like trans issues are hot water, or immigration issues are hot water, is because they haven't felt confident, or the ability to confidently throw a punch on solid ground that is persuasive and uniting people. When we just show people how a bill like this doesn't just hurt trans girls, which is a problem, it hurts all girls; and when we show that a bunch of men who are letting women die in parking lots should not be trusted, it’s like letting foxes into the henhouse; when we call it out aggressively, we're able to bring people together.

I think people smell blood in the water. They can understand weakness. And where they see weakness, that's when everything kind of falls apart. So we have to be strong about these things. And I think projecting strength attracts support.

AOC on the Dem strategy against the trans sports bill today, where they argued it would protect "predators," and ended up losing just 2 Trump-district Dems on it:

Lots of good examples out there right now for how the “polarization” concept is useful if you want to sound serious by lamenting the state of American politics but don’t understand or deliberately want to obscure the fact that the major threat to democracy is a radicalizing Right.

Biden should issue a preemptive pardon to himself for any harm he might do to Trump prior to inauguration.

Yeah, I know. But just to fuck with him a little.

Trump's cabinet picks—not trans Rep. Sarah McBride—are the real threat to women But guess which one is drawing Republicans' ire.

"The threat posed to women by Trump’s cabinet is real; the threat posed by Sarah McBride is imagined. And yet one draws Republican applause, while the other draws ire. As I posted yesterday, 'I look at this incoming government and all I can see is rape.'"

Anyway, back to laundry.
