do better next time and actually have a date for restocks or at least let target Handle the next one if you want to do Code events so badly.

I am so disappointed I can’t with this.

Speaking of the last point, most people would pefer an event through Wi-Fi. Or through a raid event like the Shiny Ruins, and hey they are easy to get compared to this. So we don’t need events like this anymore it’s such a byproduct of the DS and 3DS era. Do these instead.

So what did we learn from all this.

-Anything even free promotions like this sells crazy money in eBay.

-GameStop brand is in rock bottom leading less supply

- Releasing the same day as Mega Evolution attracts Sneakerheads

- Generally this is just a dated formula.

Was it perfect hell no. I had more problems with the app during its years of service. But it would be better than this, you don’t have to deal with sold out codes in stores and everyone got a decent amount.

I remember during a period of time during the late sun and moon and sword and shield era they had this app called Pokémon pass. Where you download the app and you scan a QR code in store and get access to three codes each.

Also it does not help that the last Pokemon code event before this was the Lechonk flying type Tera and that was from 2023, and the last shiny was shiny eternatus from 2022. Back when GameStop had more locations and the market was not invaded by card gurus.

With high demand and not enough to meet demand, GameStop even went as far to sell people products as a threshold which pissed off a lot of people, but what can they do, GameStop is a failing store brand and the Pokémon company does not really care. Restocks what restocks.

It also does not help that this event takes place in the same day as Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution meaning that it is prime time to cater to that audience, which what the hell did GameStop expected, no shit they sold out all there codes day 1 as many of them force the buyer with it.

And with a big market in mind leads to people selling and flipping these codes just to make more dough. These sneakerheads coming off the highs of prismatic and 151, realize they can make more outside the cards, prior distributions were not sold this high.

But that was back when the world made any sense. Nowadays it be redundant to this type of event anymore. Not only you got to have a The fans but the Pokémon market is bigger than ever and the store they picked isn’t the store they used to be, there are less stores to go to.

I own a lot of Distribution codes over the years, some range back from Sun and Moon era. I have a lot of memories from getting these codes from road trips and talking to the cool staff and there stories. It what makes these events really special.

Congratulations to Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon on being the absolute Worst Pokemon Distribution of all time and here are the reasons why (A thread)
