I feel this way at work a lot too. Like, I'll acknowledge that I'm quicker to overwhelm recently, but there's a lot of moments lately where I legitimately can't understand how people can hear each other

Today I went to the library and now I can borrow books here in my hometown again. Staff was super friendly and supportive, I had a lovely time. My hot take is that libraries are good

It is my birthday! I am 37.
The big picture and the future still hold many mysteries, but for now Mom is doing very well considering her illness. Come next week, she will be in her own home for the first time since March.
My mom is coming home next week!
Her health has improved recently to the point where she no longer qualifies for hospice. We're frustrated by how some administrative stuff was handled leading up to this, but the big takeaway is that her health has improved dramatically.

I heard this news yesterday while spending time with my mother, who has advanced cancer and is in hospice. This news fills me with great sadness and deep gratitude for the gifts they left for us. I'll be sharing their work with Mom soon.
