Truth, Justice, and Reparations in Peru, Uruguay, and South Korea This book examines why states that adopt and implement transitional justice norms as policies, then fail to follow through with their recommendations.

Main argument is that cotinuous advocacy efforts involving domestic and international partners (i.e., transnational advocacy involving ngos and what not) can make a difference. That it is the only way to resist/help halt authoritarian governments and protect the average citizen and human rights.

Maybe there is something to learn from other states where people continue to resist and push back against authoritarianism, even if authoritarian gvts keep coming back. In 2021 I published a book about a comparison of Skorea, Peru, and Uruguay and transitional justice.
