The One Fair Wage Ordinance protects Chicago’s working families and ensures we put the working people of this city first! As long as I’m Mayor, the workers of this city will always have a partner on the fifth floor.
I’m committed to making sure the people that run this city can afford to live in it. We are not going to roll back hard-earned raises from tipped workers, who are overwhelmingly Black and Brown women.

Yesterday, I got to spend time at the Rainbow Push Coalition supporting the Hope With Helping Hands event.
Over 3,000 bags of food was provided for 1,200 families in need. This is what community is all about!
