bun - lacking good debugger support
hono - a less mature ecosystem and so when expanding on the defaults its cumbersome; also I like my RoR-style controllers which they advise against.

I’ve tried building a green fields project with shiny libraries (bun, biome, vitest, pnpm and hono). Only biome, vitest and pnpm stuck 😭 They all look great but each was missing something major that drove me back to the encumbant. New and shiny isn’t always better.

There's value in "struggling" through challenges to master a skill. Trial, error, and frustration embed lessons deeply. Will simply reviewing code, in potentially a fraction of the time and effort, erode our collective skills in the long run? 🤔
