Trump officials need to go to jail over this and similar Crimes Against Humanity.

Stephen Miller, in particular, should be imprisoned for decades and possibly for life.

Saying the Trump administration is stupid because they can’t stop drones is like saying they are stupid because they can’t stop people from getting the flu. Like they have some levers but you could easily spend the entire US budget and without getting to 50% success rate

It’s basically jamming or small drone intercepts and both are hard to do without causing more damage than the original drone can do. And again that requires detecting and tracking something flying so low that radar gets masked by ground clutter.

The overall technical capabilities of the us military are completely orthogonal to strategy failures.

America and (everyone else) has struggled to contain drones like this for at least 5 years

Why do you think they didn’t try?

Jamming all the time sucks, besides you can’t jam all frequencies, detecting small drones is hard because they are nearly indistinguishable from birds on radar. Defense is very hard.

The Unbelievable Madness of Our War With Iran Last year, I warned about the possibility that Israel might drag the United States into a regional conflict. What’s happening now is worse than I could have ever imagined.

Leaders around the world appear to be struggling to respond to an American administration that is no longer constrained by pretending to care about human lives, the law, or the cost of its hubris. trib.al/bORKAXv

Trump practically told our allies to f-off — that we didn’t need them, that the U.S. had already “won.”

Now he’s begging them for help.

I got delayed in updating, with a lot of good news for Ukraine to report.

I've been writing each day about attacks on Crimea + Krasnodar. Between the two overnight, Russian boats were hit

Vessels “Slavyanin” + “Avangard”, used to ferry equipment over, are both damaged.

Many Ukrainians will experience power outages all day, with cuts reported in Kyiv + region, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Although winter is over, temperatures still fall to about freezing at night and forecast highs of only 12-13c (54-55F) this week.

"I said, 'Why don't we just capture the ship? Why did we sink them?' He said, 'it's more fun to sink them.'"

Oh, no biggie. Just the president of the United States out there boasting about the commission of war crimes, to the uproarious laughter of his Nazi cohort.

Bahrain's government says Iran is "indiscriminately" attacking civilian targets, including now the desalination plants the country relies on for drinking water. This comes, only, hours after Iran's president apologized for attacking neighboring countries. 🇧🇭

Prosecutors Began Investigating Renee Good’s Killing. Washington Told Them to Stop.

You should read this. It is the type of detail that experts in authoritarian regimes see as telling.
In this case, state agents are offered impunity from higher ups, and the legal system is rendered inoperative as a mode of accountability.

To be vey clear, I do not agree with Snowden's actions.

However, it is now more than a decade later and the whistleblower process is STILL terribly broken. If the whistleblower is a contractor, there are no real protections. It's hard to conclude this isn't by design.

“The Epstein class” is a really good way to deploy the attack we want to make. It contains everything we want and almost nothing we don’t.

Very novel though how Ossoff deploys George Soros’s name next to Elon Musk.

Not implying anything, just observing that I haven’t heard that from a Dem before.

Vince and Linda McMahon file oppositions to ring boy plaintiffs' request to maintain anonymity in lawsuit - POST Wrestling | Podcasts, News, Reviews | WWE AEW NXT NJPW McMahons say "John Doe" anonymity will unfairly hinder their ability to find witnesses to clear them. WWE takes no position on pseudonyms.

It's largely been lost in the chaos of the last month, but Secretary of Education Linda McMahon is trying to doxx the John Does who sued her for (allegedly) allowing them to be raped by grown men when they were kids and (allegedly) covering it up
