Can I just say that this doesn't make a lot of sense...?

"False herring". I'll definitely be using that in the future. Watching a detective show on tv and saying to my wife, "Yeah, ignore that character. He's a false herring..."
Dean Martin didn't speak English until he was 5 and started school...
The dog on the sofa is Basket II, but is the one on the wall Basket I...?
My attention went to the painting of the poodle on the wall. I did some Googling and it would appear that the dog is Basket II. Basket I died and was replaced by another one. She seemed to have loved dogs...
"Foot heads arms body". Came across this one recently. Still not convinced it's not apocryphal, but it's a good one...
Won't be there in four years time, so he can call it what he wants...
Although welfare isn't socialism...

Just saw you walk past the cameras on Morning Joe...! (I'm in Scotland at the moment.)
Did Berman point out to him that according to the FBI, Memphis is the most dangerous and Nashville is at 13. DC not in the top 30. Last time I looked they were both in TN...
As a Brit I say, "Just play less tennis and more (indoor) badminton". You'll have much more fun. Less time serving into the net, picking the balls up, etc. I realize that it's not popular over here, but it's a lot more fun to play than tennis. (Not talking about back yard badminton).
power is out here in Alcova Heights, too...
Maybe, but they're not socialist. They have free market economies with a good safety net. Socialism is when free markets/private cos are no more and the means of production are owned by the workers/state. I used to work for the SDP in the UK in the 80s (further left than Dems). We hated socialism..
Good. I know how much you like graphs, Kevin...!
He's still unpopular. Will get worse once the "90 days" nonsense is over and tariffs start to bite. And once the BBB issue starts hitting home with people. Just because he says he's popular doesn't mean he is... www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
“...who don't understand socialism”. I was born and raised in Britain. I used to work for the old Social Democratic Party in London (further left than US Dems- now Liberal Democrats) and have a Masters in Poli Sci from a US univ. I have no idea what Americans mean by “socialism”. (We hated it..)
I read that it's technically a gift to the Pentagon fro Qatar. Can't the next Democratic administration ask Trump for "our" plane back?
Can the next Democratic administration ask Trump for "our" plane back...?
If it's technically a gift from Qatar to the Pentagon then the next Democratic administration can ask Trump for "our" plane back, right....?
Van Buren was the 8th president. I wonder if Van Hollen will be the 48th...
I use it to follow a bunch of people and as a way to keep up with breaking news. Fortunately for me, I don't use it as a tool for back and forth. Don't check replies/comments very often. It's better than X, it's still not very enlightening. I guess you use it for a different purpose... Good luck!
Player called "Prey". Hmm.
Indeed. Came on to say the same thing. Pam Bondi, "DEI hire". Susie Wiles, "DEI hire". Couldn't he find a (white) man to do these jobs? Or does being a Republican mean that "DEI" doesn't apply to them?
Did anyone note the journalist's name...?
Interesting. I know the British one from 1986 (Hamlet cigars). I wonder which came first. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlYM...
To be fair, the word never appears in the article, nor in the headline. It appears to be a social media headline. Not sure what the Atlantic was thinking here...
Or maybe not...
