You can’t build a successful education system around shame, embarrassment, detention & exclusion. You can’t create inclusion for all via a curriculum that only works for some. So as the saying goes “If the child doesn’t learn the way you teach, start teaching the way they learn.”

"For me, conversations about power are something I will take away and apply to my practice. The idea that power isn’t static; it ebbs and flows".

Words get bandied about in policy terms. Concepts get tightly defined in theory. Such as compassion, collaboration, care... Yet we risk these fine words, concepts, and values becoming meaningless if we don't truly live and breathe them in all their raw, messy, evolving selves.
🎉 We’ve made a 12-page special edition Zine to celebrate #Camerados 10th anniversary—& it’s in full colour! 🌈 Will you share it at your 10th anniversary bash next week? It’s out NOW!

“We are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us”
Let Jo’s message of kindness, respect, and togetherness ring out across the world today. Her words and spirit have never been more true, important or needed.
With love to all who miss her. ♥️
Great to be out today cleaning up
our alley. I love the chats with people as they walk by and appreciate that people don’t discard litter here anymore 💚
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 🤗

Imagine a world with #basicincome and free school meals for ALL where parents didn’t have to suffer the indignity of revealing their poverty.

“They fly under the radar because they don't show up in traditional volunteer networks. They’re not using volunteer management software, attending sector conferences, or engaging with volunteering as a "sector" at all”.
“I asked people what good work looks like in this century & what it would take to get there. I heard the same stories again & again.”
@hilarycottam.bsky.social reminds us: narrow economic models of work no longer serve us. She offers a 21st century reimaging rooted in the ideas of everyday experts.
A great question 💛
What if ….
I love this 🩵💜🩷🧡💚💛❤️
“We have become so structured by business as usual. Even the changes we make are working within the existing infrastructure and systems.
@In #RadicalListening, you are trying to deal with the structural inequities that affect the communities we’re working with.”

Some years ago when I attended an introduction to ABCD @cormacrussell.bsky.social asked a question “What do you do where you live with your neighbours” This profoundly changed the way I thought about my role as a citizen. I can testify community-centred renewal happens over a cuppa, sharing lives.
This is so true, as a passionate citizen with deep commitment to community, I am always saddened when ‘the system’ does not listen or hear and has a knack of trying to make us blobs into squares! www.google.com/search?q=the...
Will be glued my phone all day reading posts. I had to give back my ticket as I am in Ireland with my new Grandson and family.
Let the beautiful tapestry that is community be designed and stitched by us together, each thread woven with love ❤️
Yes we can! I see this in action on a daily basis.

#volunteersweek2025 Over the years I have been blessed to cross paths with so many people giving their time, money & resources to clean up litter, marshal, make sandwiches, prepare packs for children in Covid & so much more. These wonderful people care, take action & fill our community with love
“The traditional model – which treats citizens as passive service recipients – has hit its capacity limits.”
Following the publication of our new thinkpiece, #StrongerThings headline speaker @cormacrussell.bsky.social advocates for a realignment between institutions & communities.

Ten years on… have we changed the world?*
*Let's be honest, not quite. But where do we go from here?
