Amanda saying "I see you" to Ciara in the beginning of this week's #SummerHouse... chilling
Omg youβre going to LOVE this series and youβre going to love Princess Donut
I'm in a 100+ person training and just had the biggest yawn while unmuted... kill me now
The logo for "The Indie Author Bookstore," showing a pair of glasses over an open book with the silhouette of two hands on either side of the book.
Am I the only one who thinks the logo for The Indie Author Bookstore looks like someone eating ass?

I'm having a weird time with reading The Book of Luke - I can't help but think if this was playing out in real life, I would not be on Luke's side (given what I know so far at the 25% mark) ππ but also really enjoying the unREAL-like depiction of reality TV production
people need to stop being weird about he*ted riv*lry and all its associated people. these people are strangers to you!!
if 95% of your driving is in a city, you don't need a truck and you don't need LED headlights.
Got downgraded from a full orthopedic boot to an ankle brace yesterday so I decided to get back into CrossFit (scaling every single movement, of course) - working out is really hard when you haven't done anything for a month!! and I'm doing like 20% of the prescribed movements!
Why does Fable tell me βwe think you might like this bookβ and then show me a book that it knows Iβve already read? ππ
My momβs husband got me a book for Christmas and Iβm trying to read it but it is so NOT my style Iβm struggling
And to answer your questions, I don't only read short books, I don't rush through each book, and it doesn't make reading feel like a chore. Instead, knowing that I'm working towards this goal incentivizes me to spend less time on my phone or watching TV, and more time reading.
I don't think you're missing anything, some people, myself included, just find it fun to work towards aggressive goals. Totally fine if you don't agree.
I made my stretch goal and read 104 books this year!!
Any amount of books (even half a book) is better than no books!
Cover art for the book "Witchcraft for Wayward Girls" by Grady Hendrix, which shows a lava lamp surrounded by moths with a human hand inside.
I'm 19% into Witchcraft for Wayward Girls... when does the witchcraft start??? ππ
I'm really liking it so far! I don't know how much I can say without spoiling, but the setting is a huge departure from the first book (while staying consistent with the story/plot) which is the major thing I'm coming to terms with
I just started reading The Strength of the Few and I've got so many questions... I am completely shocked that anyone could come up with this type of setting, and curious how it all fits back together
If you hide your posts and comments on Reddit I assume you're knowingly being an idiot on the internet
Finished The Prison Healer! Super fun read, although it seemed like a lot of similarities with Throne of Glass. My biggest (and only) disappointment was that it could have easily been a queer love story with the FMC, but it turned hetero pretty abruptly. At 92/104 books for the year!πͺππ
I'm halfway through The Prison Healer and I really and truly hope the main character falls in love with her female prison guard and not her fellow male prisoner (although I'm worried there's going to be a twist that the guard is actually her long-lost sister or something)
if you liked Babel, maybe check out Katabasis! Also Slewfoot was a super fun read!
I also JUST started and am loving it so far!
My downstairs neighbors are playing the Twin Peaks soundtrack and I fear I must watch all 3 seasons again
long run, good! I'm hopeful the placebo effects are going to be me actually not wanting versus feeling too full and nauseous
I just started a GLP1 and I can already tell I'm going to be feeling placebo effects
Honestly surprised it took so long for this to be the first row in NYT Connections
The story twists and turns so much I canβt say anything for fear of spoiling!
please don't start using AI slop
ABSOLUTELY NOT! My dedication to work-life balance would NOT have me doing a fraction of the things the author did for ANY company!
