I know there are more important things in the world to be upset about, and I am! But this is just such an easy and obvious thing to do. Women's hockey is extremely popular! But misogyny is so ingrained.

Last week @utsc.utoronto.ca planned viewing parties in the staff and faculty lounge with snacks and drinks for 2 of the Canada men's hockey games. Today the Canada women's team is playing in the Gold Medal game and CRICKETS. I even sent 2 emails asking for them to do it, but got no reply. Just wow!

He's there because he's a right-wing Trxmp wannabe piece of shit. Hollywood should be shunning him, not casting him in movies and bantering at awards shows with him.

Once you understand that you're dealing with murderous liars, you stop entertaining what they say as possibly credible and legitimate. The fight against them is about stopping them from terrorizing and killing by any means, not winning debates about your reality versus theirs.

I want people to realize prosecuting the police is always a long shot and even when successful that it hasn’t produced any observable change in behavior from the police in general.

Anyone who has read Copaganda knows that we are in the crucial early moments of virality after an extra-judicial police murder. It's extremely important for ICE that the media plays along with the idea that what happened is contested and there are multiple perspectives.

If you want a sense of how far the surveillance state has expanded inside the United States, look at what federal authorities are doing on our highways.

Shawn Micallef: Doug Ford’s plan to sell off chunks of this popular beach threatens something we should hold dear If Doug Ford wanted to create a real legacy, he’d start an aggressive expansion of public parkland in Ontario to keep up with its massive population.

This weekend I wrote about Doug Ford’s plan to sell off a large chunk of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Exactly the opposite of what should be happening: parkland expansion.

@prisonculture.bsky.social and I have been encouraging people to read chapter six of our book, Let This Radicalize You, which deals with the question of "violence" in social movements. We have decided to share the chapter publicly, to offer some context and grounding for the current conversation.

“If your tactics disrupt the order of things under capitalism, you may well be accused of violence, because ‘violence’ is an elastic term often deployed to vilify people who threaten the status quo. Conditions that the state characterizes as ‘peaceful’ are, in reality, quite violent.”
