Enthusiastically told wife I was serving mind-numbing noodles tonight...
Maybe it would be a kindness in these complex times, but I only have a recipe for mouth numbing

Brand new one too - I was planning to get one Friday but Pharmacist suggested today instead :-)

Hope something good is around the corner for you Kieran

Agree.

Good perspective it will be many affected, but only one so precious to you. Hope she's somewhere safe and comfortable.

I was trying to imagine what it was like for some people that set off and ended up in destinations unrelated to their plans....

Yes.

I looked at the news this evening and thought jeepers, I saw this "predicted" earlier today

Hahaha my teen has been in a nightwish phase for some time

Me "You can choose the Playlist for the drive but"
Him "I'll need to skip some of the nightlight?"
Me "yep"

I agree with your points.

I'm pleased Rubes is there to have you out each day focussed on her dog business. Hopefully with more days it will become clearer what the next thing for you is.

Nice

I imagine you need an astonishing amount of grapes if you're working direct

Are these from this year's grapes or has it been aging from last year?

Or a kit?

Or??

Not parenting, but I remain stunned by the workmate who complimented me on the cake I made and said
"I never would have thought you could bake because, you're, you know..." at which point several of her colleagues interrupted with horror to cut her off

I think the winner was the person that said to me wife, when I took our son and our niece to playground "that's really great she helps out"
It seems they'd just invented a whole narrative in their head i was a late on the scene stepmother....

Maybe the phrase "if you don't have anything nice to say..." needs to be modified for some people to "if you don't have anything that's not stupid to say"

I am musing on some of the stupidest things people have said to us post pregnancy - as most people are great, but....

I'm so sorry to hear that.

Ha.
Once we were shopping for a new vacuum and said to the shop assistant
"we have a cat"
He looked horrified and said "I really don't think you should use any vacuum on a cat"

Nice.
This was turned down in my house.
We're watching the glass onion....which is a huge improvement on the year my wife was offered chance to choose Xmas eve viewing and chose "Nazi megastructures". Since which time, she's never been allowed to choose again

I'd choose a Ben Nevis, but have learned two new distillery names/shrouds

I couldn't quite make out the letters for cataibh and tried cataish...and Google helpfully offered to sell me catfish whisky tumblers and their AI assured me that laphroaig is known for a "cat-like" taste

Wonderful. Thank you.
She's so hard to find nice surprises for. I'm stoked.
And yes - we're looking forward to the movie.

This is a sidestep to secret Santa I'm sorry, but my wife LOVES life after life. And hugely enjoyed Hamnet. So should I buy her The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox amongst her Christmas presents?
