Hell yeah, love being from a place where salad means "thing slathered in mayo and served cold"
Iowa tenderloin sandwiches, on the other hand, fucking slap. An order of magnitude better than Indiana tenderloin sandwiches, which I am cursed to eat for the foreseeable future
Definitely not the worst food, but special mention should be made for the tavern/loose-meat sandwich. Boiled loose hamburger meat on a bun, usually just with ketchup/mustard and pickle. Dares to ask "what if a hamburger had no seasoning and was way harder to eat?"
I love pickled ham fwiw. But I realize I am an affront to both god and man for so liking it
I'm from Iowa, so all our food is terrible. But probably pickled ham (cubes of ham meat and onions in vinegar) takes the cake
shhhh Kevin we're supposed to be doing a bit not explaining how it actually works
I'm far too tired after ranking my own children for the week to even begin doing the students, too
i've tweeted about this before but in grad school i literally had a dream that a scoreboard was added to the department lounge for this purpose
Just a reminder to all grad students that we definitely DO NOT keep a "Grad Student Power Ranking" in the faculty lounge where we update your ranking weekly based on performance (along with little arrows indicating your movement relative to last week). Just something faculty, again, do not do
An email from me where the body is just me repeating "STE-PHEN KERSH-NAR π π πππ"
Every year our colloquium committee respectfully asks the faculty who they might want to see invited for the next year, and every year I offer the same response
Figuring out how to like normal things in my 30s like an absolute psycho
And so the hipster weeps, for all he has are his tastes, and no one gives a shit
Feels weird watching a Marlins home game. There are like 50 people there watching. Feels like a small wedding or sweet 16 party that they just happen to broadcast on TV. This is none of my business
the picture of Dorian actually multiple colors...

I need to stop becoming friends with Ergo associate editors smdh
Friends don't send friends papers to review
Pragmata? No thanks, I'd rather play Robustnormativerealismata
"You misspelled Gray" you can't misspell a picture, you're just making my point for me, wake up
A "Picture" of Dorian Grey? That looks like a book to me, but sure man, whatever
16 weeks is way too many weeks for a semester to have. My students stopped learning weeks ago. I myself barely remember the faint echoes of January's material. Inhumane
Huge drama on the Purdue subreddit. CS prof threatens to fail 60% of CS class for using AI on assignments, before walking it back this morning/not punishing anyone. Some student under the twitch handle "bigballerwizard" streamed this AM's lecture for 4 mins before being shut down by TAs. Pure cinema
*catching some strays from monsterfucking discourse that is ongoing apparently* Look I would never kinkshame, but man, it you want to fuck Wall-E from the movie Wall-E, I recommend logging off for a few decades
I should ask Ethics and Information Technology to retract the paper
And that all runners ran that
