Despite previously being in charge of Southampton for three months, Nathan Jones got his first ever league point at St Mary’s today.

Fuel poverty is more than twice as common among people aged 16-24 than it is for older people.

This is a cold country right now.

It's shockingly poor from Hants, and from the ECB - no reason at all we couldn't either play on Friday (my birthday - would have been a nice treat) or play at one of OUR outgrounds...

I'm annoyed too, as was looking forward to an extra game next week. Though the way were bowling and fielding today, I don't think we'll finish second anyway...

I'm astonished we've not taken him out of the firing line at all - he's been in wretched form all season.

Serious risk that he drops out of the professional game, if he/we can't find a way back to some sort of form...

Look like Mayes is as good as the hype?

Shocking in all elements of all forms. Hoping for too much from youngsters (e.g. Turner, Jack, Albert, Prest) and from players past their best (e.g. Wood).

Season in a write-off.

But hard to see how anything changes next year. In football, the manager would have gone by now...

Yeah, we were always going to struggle, and Jordan's spell was brilliant.

Vince arrangement isn't working - his heart doesn't seem in it at all. Keeps getting out mistiming an attempted boundary, rather than anchoring innings like we need him to...

I left when Dawson went, to get out of car park before they closed it for 20 at the end!

Not a great performance, at all - we gave them too many, then gave away cheap wickets. Vince was most irritating of them, I think...

Yep - like a different player.

Prest desperately needs to find some form from somewhere, though..

Another great performance, and almost everyone did well.

Albert looks really impressive as a T20 opener!

Looks like we weren't saving him for the Blast - just not picking him at all...

Hampshire's top order is an absolute disgrace this season - collectively and individually, they are just failing every match.

And yet they are all guaranteed their place.

Hard to see how we salvage the season, if failure has no consequence...

Am worried about @hampshirecricket.bsky.social this season - so far off the standard, with the bat, that could easily drop a division in the Championship, and fail abysmally in the 50 and 20 over games too.

Don't understand picking exactly the same failing too order, every single match...

Yep. Glad we inspired him 😉

Shame nobody else has also remembered how to bat...

I don't see how picking him regardless of form, is helping.

And I don't see how leaving Orr in seconds, regardless of form, helps him.

Surely it's past time to swap them round?

A really enjoyable session to take part in, to finish off an interesting day - thanks for asking me :-)

11 months ago 0 0 0 0

Yep. We didn't have much choice with 1, I guess, but 2 was a shocking decision made worse by 3!

The batting is awful - don't understand why Orr doesn't get near the team when so many keep failing...

On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked,

"If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?"

Allow our scaled diagram to explain...

"Poe and Vinyl" actually sounds amazing...

Not cheery, but dark and brilliant!

There's a couple of guys up here sadly lamenting the fact that, by the end of this weekend, Hampshire could have more points than the Scummers... Not sure they appreciated me finding that prospect so funny.

Yep. Bit blowy today, but great spot to watch from.

National health data scheme awarded 'transformative' £17m funding University of Oxford's OpenSAFELY project will securely analyse NHS mental health treatment files.

Nice article about some of the work we do @bennettoxford.bsky.social and @oxprimarycare.bsky.social, expanding to cover Mental Health data, and to improve secure access to data more widely, thanks to new support from @wellcometrust.bsky.social
