I love Dirty Looks too. I was in a band that backed them up in Madison, WI when they toured their wonderful first album. Esp. love the song, "12:00 High."

Why Is DC’s Phillips Collection Selling Off Its Masterpieces? The museum’s decision to deaccession works by Georgia O’Keeffe, Pablo Picasso, and more has come under public scrutiny.

I’d forgotten that the last line of Crimp’s essay confirms the artists as modernists, given how important the exhibition now is in the history of postmodernism and visual art.
