So to appease all those who are still here when the rapture doesn’t happen, maybe we should encourage and reassure them they were right and it DID actually happen but they just weren’t chosen…. They can at least take solace in knowing they were right

#Scotland has always been a bit more left-leaning than England. I’m wondering if the perceived rise in right wing politics and rhetoric in England is having or may have an effect on support for #Scottishindependence 🤔
You take the blue canoe—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red canoe—you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Okay YouTube. Why can I watch the UTMB live on my phone but on a tv connected to the same network via the same router, it’s blocked on copyright grounds? 🤔
The only fly in the ointment here is that many who support us leaving the ECHR believe that the UK government would then maintain all of these rights. It's like Brexit and EU standards all over again, you don't leave an organisation enforcing a minimum standard if you want to increase your standards

TBF, while I might hear folk say "don't want to be like France" or "don't want to be like Germany", I've not heard anyone say "don't want to be like Switzerland" news.sky.com/story/uk-eu-...
Can't make it to Daresbury Festival this year, so I'm selling my tickets. A little over the original cost but only to cover the selling fees for Tixel : tixel.com/u/andrewp343
I suspect the 'free speech' will be limited to those not criticising her or her plans?
A population that is well enough to work, uneducated enough to vote for them and ill enough to rely on their medical insurance sounds like a republican's wet dream.
A similar 'epidemic' to that of left-handedness when that was also recognised and became more accepted :
going to start calling myself a centrist and then listing all my leftist views as proof, just going to start moving the overton window by force
Could Trump’s new “like for like” tariff help push the UK back to the #EU if it does indeed result in affecting UK-US exports? #brexit
has US trade policy actually helped China and the development of DeepSeek? www.linkedin.com/posts/arpood...
Public transport should be more affordable than private transport. Train to Edinburgh from Cambridge in March is around £70 more than the car (and it's not an especially new or efficient car), £272 vs £200 return. A newer car would be even cheaper still. Where's the attraction?
Interesting data is starting to emerge regarding EV battery longevity. www.wired.com/story/electr...
I’ve often said this. Whether it’s Trump in the US or Brexit in the UK, logic and reason won’t sway their belief as it’s an emotion driven faith, like religion, not based in fact. To change their belief you need to appeal to the same emotional response that drew them to the belief in the first place
£20k max for a used EV with decent range. Polestar 2, Ioniq5 or I-Pace and why?
striking image by Karl Jilg demonstrating how much space we've given over to cars by depicting the roadway as a deep chasm
A post in another place reminded me of this striking image by Karl Jilg demonstrating how much space we've given over to cars
is this the current cycle in UK politics?
Tories fuck shit up.
People protest vote Labour into power
Labour fix things slowly.
People boycott Labour for not fixing things fast enough.
Tories get voted into power....
