After the nice holiday break and getting to play some #POE2 here and there, my Lightning Arrow Deadeye feels pretty settled. Easily clearing T15s and fully ascended, so just need to chase after the bigger bosses at some point. Going to be switching to Ice Strike Monk to give melee a try for a bit.
I don’t usually make specific gaming resolutions, but in 2025 I’d like to try more games outside of my norm/usual go-tos while also going way deeper and harder in the games I want to master. I’d also like to stream more this year; I miss it a lot.
Another #POE2 thought that I had overnight is that there should be more targeted ways to get certain item types. Sanctum gets closest to this, but with no Scours, we will always need to find lots of the same bases to craft up, so more systems to specifically target them would be great.

Now that I’ve had a decent amount of times in maps, I feel like the Atlas itself needs quality of life improvements. It would be nice to:
- zoom out further
- search bar to find certain mods from precursors
- set waypoints or notes to quickly jump to areas you’re setting up with towers

Flying to Massachusetts today and the only thing I was able to do in POE2 this morning before leaving my apartment was Exalt slam an Emerald. I am already feeling the withdrawals. Today might be the first day since release that I don’t kill a monster. 😫

Finally made it to maps on my Ranger and enjoying the progression there. Just starting to run Tier 2 Waystones. Along with the upcoming patch, it sounds like it should be a challenging but fun time. My gear is still so bad, but slowly and surely making some upgrades.

Man, it's been a while since I've had that feeling of not wanting to go to sleep to keep gaming and then not being able to fall asleep because your thoughts are racing about the game. It's rare, but makes me so happy whenever I recapture it. 😁
I had to shelve the Mercenary. It just became an unfun slog, but I'll revisit it and figure it out later. Hopped onto the Ranger and INSTANTLY fell in love. Same benefits of moving while shooting but faster and way more upfront damage with faster combo setups. Still early, but feeling excited again!
Heading to bed for tonight in the middle of Act 2. I just don’t know about Mercenary. Maybe it’s me. I’m surviving every boss just fine, but it’s taking SO LONG to kill them. Especially if there are no mobs to refill Mana Flask charges. Gonna keep pushing along, but it’s tough.
Got to play a few hours of Path of Exile 2 yesterday. Early impressions are that it's really fun! Mercenary feels like it starts out slow, adding to the challenge of the combat, but nothing unsurmountable so far. Enjoying discovering all the new stuff!
Terrible time to get sick, but hoping my hype for Path of Exile 2 Early Access Day 1 will carry me through!

Since the days of streaming gone by, I listen to so little music regularly. Been spending time more on Audible and podcasts lately and music only comes in pre- and post-running. That said, still listening to the same old stuff unsurprisingly.
Felt good to get back into the podcasting game again! So happy Ziggy was able to make time during this crazy lead up to Early Access to help us kick things off. Can’t wait for y’all to listen!
