I’m delighted! This is the best. Even better, even though I am a leaseholder with the council, because it’s inside the flat I get to arrange and pay for removal (despite it being disturbed by an external crack/leak from the neighbours’ patio). YAY!

YES! The leak/crack in the ceiling has disturbed the asbestos that we didn’t know we had 🥰

No. I’m home. I’ve since chosen jobs deliberately where I don’t have to speak to anyone or inflict my accent on people from Kent. Since moving to the NHS from media I’ve relaxed a little bit because there are more people who sound like me or who don’t care but it’s still hard

I don’t know how to speak properly. I just speak in London with my London accent being corrected by people from outside

It only took a few people (including teachers) to say “Why don’t you learn to speak properly?” and I was screwed. “For God’s sake don’t put her on reception”

Unfortunately having a strong london accent now means I’m scared to talk to strangers or in public or use the telephone for fear of being corrected
