i got a corningware 750ml pot several weeks ago and have been using it for oatmeal. after doing a ton of reading i learned all about how amazing this stuff is and have gotten way more at the thrift store.

i also got some visions pots and dishes but yet to cook in them.

the good news is i am taking the next two weeks off but i fear that all of this well become 10x worse when others are allowed to do these critical tasks

the past few weeks since my birthday have been totally out of control at work. i had to help with the rif on my birthday and since then i have had to take on (by choice or not) many more tasks. this includes constantly reviewing ai connections, security, etc for many llm platforms.

claude, write me a cover of Holy Diver but make it about vibe coding and call it Holy Viber

i see so many LLM generated architectural and design plans for new webapps and tools. i have to review them for security flaws and ensure they aren't doing the worst thing possible.

its so fucking hard to read them and get anything useful out of them. its an endless stream of slop by slopmasters

same exact thought! i don't hate people personally anywhere near as much as some people in power that fuck over everyday people

the kind of eschatological entertainment W's presidency promised, yet failed to deliver

so he choked on a pretzel. his VP shot a guy in the face and made him apologize. that's peanuts compared to a bunch of large adult political scions having a coked-out livestreamed slapfight. that's dogshit

the "yea" guy times two, reflected over a horizontal axis and holding hands for comfort: it is a line drawing from a comic in which the guy asks if someone's okay buddy, and when they aren't he says "yea" in a way that says he doesn't care thatmuch but his heavy-lidded expression combined with his thousand-yard stare shows he is merely too dissociated to fully come to terms with what has been said and his only response to outside stimuli is passive acceptance

don't worry microsoft has you covered! teams collapses many of my messages if either the text is too long or if there is an image in any channel that uses the threaded view!!

teams does almost everything the wrong way. it's like a case study on what should kill a company (but doesn't)

i really am a chill person and allow for misunderstandings, god knows i have enough of them, but people will argue with me about facts.

i had to make a sequence diagram last week showing data flows between an app and several 3rd party sites. they kept trying to give me an unintelligible flow chart

good news/bad news: i am better at troubleshooting than almost anyone i talk to...

but many interactions with others trying to solve problems makes me want to scream.

i got so frustrated today with repeated questions that show fundamental misunderstandings of the thing they were trying to fix

This makes way more sense to just write out a simple message and send it directly to your rep. There is no advantage of something like a specific HTML file for any use like this no matter how you end up using it

This is not how AI, websites, or HTML work. This would create an HTML file that does nothing except let you type into it and clear it out when you click a button.

There is no way for any HTML file generated by AI to send emails, submit forms, or do anything outside your computer.

it's irresponsible, even in the US, to start a baby off with a gun! We generally start off with imperialist propaganda like videos of the Vietnam war and have the children call out the bomb strikes.

once they know who to shot then they get a gun. its usually 3-4 years old unless they are a prodigy

photo of my desk with a bunch of junk, a sperry univac mug, and a humanware keynote companion series two palmtop computer. the computer is palmtop form factor with a perfect sized qwerty keyboard and lcd screen. the display shows dos 5 prompt with the output of "dir /w" listing all the files on the machine.

it is gray from that sticky rubberized coating which is unfortunate. i have since disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the device so it doesnt stick to me anymore.

Screen shot of computer chronicles you tube video “virtual reality (1992)” with a man at a trade show who looks very 1992 with huge glasses and mustache. The text says

Alan Zeichick
“AI expert”

The title of “ai expert” is in quotes on the title

wow thats amazing! i've seem a bunch of slide rules and other calculating devices either as cards in sleeves or round disks that companies gave out. i'd imagine they were still being made at this time but starting to die out. it would be fascinating if there was a connection

photo of a suitcase sized case opened up to reveal a Romeo 25 braille embosser by Enabling Technologies. its all stainless steal with a numeric keypad, parallel printer port, serial port, power switch, and plug. there is also a paper feeder for old school continuous feed "computer paper" with the little holes for tractor feeding into a printer.

this is mostly a shitpost because even if i managed to get this to emboss sticker sheets somehow it would be quicker and easier to do by hand. unless i embossed huge letters in dots that said fuck ice then the same in braille. do this on some sort of sticker paper and it would work
