My initial Arena build definitely thought she could take the whole board. My initial “there’s zero chance that’s true” take wasn’t enough to dissuade me 😅 When I figured out parsing her text it made a lot more sense

I’m having so much fun with this commander! I misread her at first and thought she was somehow a board wipe (she’s not, she grabs 1 per player). But with a deck full of ETB mechanics and blink effects, I’m very impressed at what an uncommon rarity commander can do. Somehow in my top 10 faves!

Guess it depends on the college kids. I can tell this whole table of young women over here are simply my kind of people. To be early 20s again!

I used to do this. Anymore I’m jaded, or tired. I used to debate people. I used to correspond with philosophers and theologians to challenge them—often successfully. People used to reach out to me for help with philosophical arguments and topics as they prepared for their own debates. What happened?

God I love young college kid conversations at bars. I miss this. Listening to some young women talking about evolution, cosmology, politics, everything interesting that bright, curious young people have all the energy in the world to discuss and question and ponder. Why aren’t we all like this?

Today I learned there’s a black High Tide (I mostly play Arena, so…)

Gonna see my mama with my fiancée tomorrow. I’m so lucky to have her. She’ll never see this (only my fiancée has my BSky) but if even half of the people in the world were like her it’d be a better world. I learned from my dad’s passing to treasure EVERY moment.
