Don't let anyone talk you out of spending $15 on a new hobby. That $50 will be the best $400 you ever spent.

I did consider stealing one of the birch trees in the hallway as a memento. Probably best I didn’t.

Damn, this makes me want to solve a series of seemingly unrelated crimes in 1985.

Nice! Yeah, I've been going later and later to Record Store Day every year and so far it has not affected my ability to drop over $100.

Was thinking about that Coltrane but never spotted it (and didn't camp out this year). Managed a pretty good haul with some weird late-morning/early-afternoon luck. Femmes! Laufey! Weezer!

It’s inaccurate to say Mario is brave and Luigi is cowardly

Luigi is afraid of death, so he runs away from danger. Mario is afraid of living, so he runs towards death. Both brothers are cowards in their own way

So much fun to see @jjdotbiz.bsky.social talking about BABE: PIG IN THE CiTY with three very regular and normal Madisonians at the Wisconsin Film Festival.

I hadn't seen this before. This is pretty remarkable.

Oh my gd, the Artemis II crew doing a parody of a bad 1980s sitcom intro from in space.

So I ran a control test, much like when I try a new pizza (straight pep) or burger (bacon cheese) joint. We start there as a base and if you can't deliver on that level we don't party.
I set it to the 80s, hit random. Within a few mins I had Jimmy Cliff's "Reggae Night" video playing.
It's for real.
