Namjoon being so open about the fact that depression doesn't just leave you, is such a vulnerable thing to admit. There is no cure. There is treatment but no cure. You'll have it forever and it will be hard. But life is worth living anyway. Thank you Namjoon, for being my light!

It's hard to overstate how comforting it is to hear Namjoon express this truth: the fight with our demons may never end. (Yes, love, forever is too long!)

AND.

Life is fun.

These things can coexist.

Life goes on.

Sometimes I can’t sleep. But do you want to die? No. I try to love the life. Taking walks, good friends, drinks, music, [this] interview. I’m still fighting the demons, and I think maybe it could be forever, and forever is too long, like I said. But I just wanna say one thing: Simply, in short, I think life is fun … not because I’m [in] BTS or I’m a star in the spotlight. I think, just — life is fun and living is better.

How I'm hearing Arirang: the first 6 songs are anger, defiance, pushback, fire, directed outward.

No. 29 is a moment to pause. Take cleansing breaths.

Swim takes us deeper and keeps us moving.

The last 7 are maybe from a more intimate place: loss, longing, pain, commitment.

Abstract
Generative Al is transforming creative industries, particularly music, and raising questions about artistic practice and creator roles. Text-to-music systems can produce full songs from prompts, yet their effect on human creativity and quality is unclear. This paper analyzes how Al assistance shapes the creative process and outcomes in music. We conduct a randomized controlled trial with musically trained individuals who compose an original 15-second piano melody, assigning them to either an Al-ideation group or a no-Al control. External evaluators of varied musical experience rate each melody on perceived creativity. On average, we find that listeners rate the melodies generated under the treatment condition as less creative. Furthermore, access to the Al changes stylistic choices, which are perceived as less creative by evaluators.

Hey, producers! Check it.
Randomized control trial from Carnegie Mellon showing AI use hurts music producers’ perceived creativity. AI suggestions are hard for producers to ignore. Blinded evaluators rate music produced using AI as less creative. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.... +

Remember when he talked about how in your 20s, you have thoughts that are like branches, then by your 30s and 40s, you become a beautiful tree? Now him at the mic, unyielding, knowing that what he says grows roots in the industry despite hands trying to get him. He's grounded with deep roots~ namu 🌳

Collage of 4 pictures. 2 of Soojoon at the top and 2 of Sohyun bottom
Top Left: A dramatic, extreme close-up of a person's eye. The focus is intense, with long, light-colored hair partially veiling the face. The lighting creates a heavy shadow, highlighting a bold, dark eyeliner look.
Top Right: A classic studio portrait of a model with bleached hair. They are wearing a dark, long-sleeved top and a watch, with their hands held elegantly near their chest. The lighting is soft but directional, highlighting their bone structure against a neutral gray background.
Bottom Left: A wide, cinematic shot set in what appears to be a brutalist or industrial ruin. A figure stands with their back to the camera, wearing thigh-high boots and holding two swords (katanas) out to their sides. Mist or smoke swirls at their feet, adding to the dramatic, action-oriented feel.
Bottom Right: A close-up portrait of a woman with dark hair. A blade—likely a sword—is positioned diagonally in the foreground, partially obscuring the lower half of the frame. Her expression is calm and piercing, creating a "warrior-chic" vibe that mirrors the bottom-left image.
Overall Aesthetic
The collage utilizes black and white photography to unify the different scenes. It bridges the gap between high-fashion editorial and action-cinema, playing with themes of strength, mystery, and sharp visual lines.

여백의 미 the beauty of empty space:
This is the most crucial concept in Korean traditional art and modern minimalism. It refers to the beauty found not in what is painted, but in the unpainted space left behind. It suggests that emptiness allows room for imagination and resonance.
