Before the last two games, Jake had a 1-18 stretch where he struck out 11 times. One decent game and he’s back to getting every start.
It’s not surprising that Chas had a bad game against a pitcher he’s never hit well even when he’s been rolling.
We know both players’ ceilings and Chas > Jake.
Look, I get why Chas McCormick isn’t playing every day. He hasn’t produced consistently since 2023.
However, he has not been decisively worse at the plate or in the field than Meyers or Dubon, yet he’s only getting around 15% of the starts since the first week.
Has one bad game. Back to nothing.
Chas was safe.

I’m good. Chas had a really, really bad year last year and has indicated from quotes that he knows he won’t play if he’s not producing. If he’s hitting and consistently getting on base like he did in ST, he’s going to play.
