Last night was easily the most challenging night so far in my PICU orientation. A very sick kid, several nurses and RTs and docs in the room at once trying to get the kid settled and comfy.
It was eye opening. And exhausting. But it also didn’t scare me - the team effort was amazing. #TeamPICU

A little something it made for Family game night - to celebrate @gabo291969.bsky.social bday and Alton starting his new job.
I’ve impressed myself!!
18 months sober. One of the best decisions I’ve made. My life has gotten exponentially better. On so many levels.
Enjoying my Saturday afternoon on the back deck, after a lovely getaway with Alton. Life is so fucking good.
Week two of training for my new job in the PICU is finished. And I am soooooo happy.
I became a nurse to make a difference in people’s lives. And that happens every day in the PICU. I’m learning something new every day, using my brain in ways I haven’t in ages it seems.
So glad I did this!!
Gauged up the septum ring yesterday, and switched to captive bead ring. Really really loving it.
Thanks Cold Steel!!
Good morning BlueSky!! How’s everyone today?
