this is a great playlist obviously (although all of us will have favourite niche underground pop anthems that defined our college club years we’ll want to add) but it also made me aware that Richard X’s excellent Xtended Mix of Rachel Stevens’ Some Girls with extra spoken word bits is streaming now

for a period of time that was — not good — it’s ridiculous how much fun the pop music was
