yeah i take it as a “mood stabilizer” on the side but mainly for nerve pain and it took weeks to take effect. does NOT work like a pain pill whatsoever. they’ve tried to give it to my mom for unbearable pain…when she was already on it. kinda scares me this is a thing now

anyways sorry this account has become the "muffin grieves and complains about healthcare" zone lately

it doesn’t work that way and yet i see it prescribed in place of non nerve-related pain relief and my pharmacist just got weirdly judgy about me picking up only half my prescriptions (“ok so just the pain meds then” you think valium is a pain med??) over a *whopping* 5 hydros for a kidney stone

this new trend of healthcare professionals treating gabapentin like a pain pill you can pop is kind of disgusting

i think it dropped into my bladder right before i finally got pain meds lol blood in urine but i feel all better. probably shoulda waited it out at home but it got so bad i’m sure i would’ve worried it was something else

why is the night shift crew in the ER always a billion times nicer
