i'm being biased obviously, but my experience with a lot of white western european people is that they're extremely ignorant about racial dynamics in their own countries and that projects when they're in other places (i unfortunately studied in hk with a bunch of them)

of course people of different races are just "normal" there, that's why the huge western european waves of xenophobic racism re: migrant communities and blackface don't exist there, right (sarcasm)
