If you'd just like to take clothing donations at the end, please come between 4:30-5:30 and you can look through mended items to take what works for you. No resale of items is permitted (they were donated with that rule)—please take things for your family or community to use. All skill levels welcome! Mending needed will range from small and simple to more elaborate. You are welcome to learn by watching but the focus here will be on the actual mending rather than teaching. The Marie Equi Center is at 4434 SE 25th Ave, at Holgate, seven blocks from a yellow line MAX stop and less than one block from a bus stop, line 17. Parking is limited. Service and support animals are welcome, but the venue would like to know ahead of time if we expect any so please let us know if you'll have a furry companion!

Come mend with us next Saturday! We have an enormous pile of cute kids clothes that need to be fixed up and also need homes, so you can come just to mend, just to take some clothes home, or to do both—whatever will get these nice items back in functioning condition and worn by kids in our community!

Did you know that April 26 is Mend in Public Day?! When we learned that we thought it would be the perfect day for our first mend together in the park day of the year! We’ll have lots of sewing supplies that you can use and take with you, and we’ll be there to help you with your mending projects.
