He replied with a phone number; we had a lovely chat. It was amazing to me that someone so knowledgeable would just be willing to talk to a random grad student. My class presentation went well and almost 20 years later I still remember the conversation.
Back in grad school, Art Levine was the theorist that I was assigned to talk about in class. He was alive (still is!) so I emailed him and said "can we talk?"
We got my parents ruby-themed gifts - a picture frame of our family (my parents and their kids) that was deep ruby, and champagne flutes with ruby tops. And we cooked them a nice dinner and spent time with them.

As someone who does research on religious, secular and spiritual identities, and has even written about evangelical students in college, I can attest how unsettling and frankly ridiculous this latest EO is (and I'm a Christian myself).

Cream cheese frosting is so delish! but I never have CC in my house so I always default to butter cream too.
I mean lazy might be just a powder sugar glaze, so I think you're really putting in some effort there with buttercream :D The real question for all of us is what flavor cake!!

I do the same thing - sometimes i have reminders that are multiple days "parents visiting" where my calendar might still free for part of it - other times i have to block my calendar "ashe" where i have to mark "busy"
You have to mark your schedule as "busy" - out of office doesn't work. If I'm out for something for multiple days I always check now to make sure it says "busy" in the event and then it blocks the whole calendar. (sorry if others have also said this)
we couldn't reach our big feeder in the snow (and they emptied it pretty fast (we had filled it before the blizzard) but we just put out a plastic plate filled with seed on our deck (as far as we could reach) and its been a big hit with the birds! high recommend.
