My heart says £5 but my head looks around at ever shrinking profit margins and says £6-£7
Hi comic creators and readers 👋
How much would you expect to pay for an indie, self published single issue these days? (22-24 pages)
Keep in mind: indies aren’t Marvel or DC - large pubs can afford to charge less due to other revenue they make.
What do you think? 🤔
Shares appreciated ❤️

Version I’m aware of was all tightened up. Always thought it looked a bit wrong kind of Germanic, if you know what I mean 😬😅
Vampires Helen (Barbara Shelley) in long white night gown, stands at the foot of a stone staircase in Dracula’s red-lit castle, surrounded by moody shadows.
A breathtaking composition from Dracula Prince of Darkness (1966), courtesy of cinematographer Michael Reed and production designer Bernard Robinson. 🖤
Looking for some cover work if anybody needs em!
We have under 48 hours to go. Please consider backing this passion project - re-introducing Dan Dare and space adventure for today's audiences before the campaign ends!
It needs to be couched in language he‘ll understand
Bought a ticket for Hebden Bridge in Nov this week, looking forward to it. 7 months in real time, 7 years in Trump time so we’ll see where we all are by then 😆

Branding illustration of a young man wearing a graduation gown, leaning with an elbow up on the EQ Bank yellow diamond symbol. Drawing by Jori Bolton. Design and colour by EQ Bank.
Here are tiny images of some of the EQ Bank drawings as posted on their site. I liked the collaborative experience of doing the drawings on my end, with them altering colour and background based on use. Drawings by me, colours and integration with the EQ yellow diamond by them.

This sketch might be the favourite Alex I have drawn and is still available as a tier if you like that sort of thing.
A reddish and neutral illustration, a girl in a red hoodie with blonde hair stands at the top of a shattered glass building, reflection of other skyscrapers in its sides. A man folding his arms stands behind her. Crows fly around them and up above in the sky, clouds swirl in a circular pattern around them.
Over the weekend @veronicarothbooks.com announced her new book, THE SIXTH FACTION, which I had the supreme pleasure of drawing the cover for. Thank you so much to the team at HarperCollins, Amy and Joel, who were an absolute delight in every way, for asking me to work on this.
Ballad of Cable Hogue worth watching with Robards in title role, bit of an odd comedy western from Peckinpah
I find older records - blues, jazz etc sound better even on a cheapo turntable. It isn’t high fidelity multitracked modern production, it’s get the main basic parts across clearly and strongly
Panel 1) All the books say to not sleep next to you Panel 2) They say to try to get you to sleep in your own bed Panel 3) to teach you independence Panel 4) I remember the books as I lie here next to you Panel 5) on the fold out mattress in your room Panel 6) Next to your bed Where you are not sleeping Panel 7) And at first I think I have failed Panel 8) but then You cuddle up to me Panel 9) And your tiny hand grabs on to my jumper Panel 10) And you smell like play-doh and cotton buds Panel 11) And I think One day you will not want me here next to you Panel 12) One day you will want to sleep at your friends houses To sleep at your girlfriends (or boyfriends) houses To stay out all night Panel 13) You will smell of aftershave and leather and your own life And that will be great Panel 14) You must live your own life, of course you must That is the whole point Panel 15) But for now You smell of play-doh and cotton buds Panel 16) And we are both Exactly where we need to be.

For my money, best role I’ve seen Julia Roberts in, she just nails it, so assured. Can’t beat really well done small movies about small lives sometimes
