Watching this live, the anxiety over what could go wrong, the radio loss after entering the atmosphere, waiting for the parachute deployments,I was a nervous mess and literally cried watching the final parachute deploy and how beautiful this landing turned out.

I felt like a kid watching this, I was only 2yrs old when Apollo 11 landed on the moon.

But, there was soooo much excitement over this at the time, I remember a lot of things about it. The Tang promo toys, the videos, the hero welcome.
