The nasty, corrupt, bullying culture in Labour that led us here has been built up over 30+ years. It's baked into Labour's DNA, when Corbyn was unexpectedly elected, that culture chewed him up and spat him out.

Labour can't be fixed, only destroyed.

Amazing how both as DPP and then as Prime Minister there were gigantic scandals that you'd think Starmer, as the guy in charge would at least know about, and yet in both cases he remained in blissful ignorance 🤔

I love that one of the Israeli controversies rn is a photo someone took that is being called antisemitic, and it has not been altered in any way.

Was a mid sized university town (prefer not to say more than that). Would add at this point that this was around 2004, so inflation has taken its toll. Also it was pretty grotty so cheap for the area (I think £400-450 was the going rate in the area).

Worst take of the vibecession is "maybe it's just greater visibility of the rich on Instagram etc". The comparisons I've made are with people in pretty much the same career as me. It's universal pattern, the older ones are better off, the younger ones are poorer.
