Its not really about progressive vs conservative in CA on this issue. NIMBY is bipartisan. Huntington Beach is a MAGA stronghold and is fighting state housing mandates harder than anyone. But enviro laws like CEQA need to be updated ASAP because they have been weaponized to an absurd degree.

Its really about the death of the cable business. I have no idea what Comcast considers a political liability, but its pretty clear this is a part of their strategy to deal with that inevitable outcome. .
