A lot of -ists adore #Hungary and #Orban while simultaneously dragging the rest of Europe and the EU through the gutter.
Please remind me: Why can’t the EU just kick Hungary out and instantly get rid of all the hassles?
NYT has always been consistent on this. If someone says or writes, say, the f-word, it will NOT be shown in reporting. They just note in such a case that expletives are involved.
This is an editorial decision.
Thanks Søren!

So, I have just #voted in our general #election. I could easily do it before buying groceries.
I mean, at the voting site, I could enter immediately, after parking my bike 6 metres from the entrance.
Then, from entrance to exit, voting took me around 3 minutes.
Nice #democracy we have.
Glad to hear that the use of “On the Nature of Daylight” by Max #Richter in “ #Hamnet ”, was not a choice of Richter. He wanted to use newly written music for all of the movie.
But I think the inclusion works against his #oscar chances. 😬
I try to avoid Windows 11 as long as possible. It made my corporate laptop instantly useless.
I have been subjected to #Microsoft’s unwavering Windows update strategy ever since version 3.1 in the early 1990s. From then on, it has been one battle after another.

Yeah. A pure one-hander match!
The Fiscal Theory of the Price Level, explained
#EconSky #Kimmel #inflation
Some days ago, they published minimum prices for various sections; the actual (fixed?) prices were then shown after sales started when you tried order a given seat.
Btw. Prices were brutal. Row 1, center, was set at 20 times the preannounced minimum price of around $150. 😳 (2/2)
I tried dynamic #pricing on #Ticketmaster this morning. It was not very dynamic: There was a predetermined price distribution, and it never changed as far as I could see. Has anyone tried it where prices actually moved? And why not publish the distribution before? (1/2)

Will the US ever be considered a serious country again?
#tariff #trade #trump
Grateful to live in a country, where such nonsense by a cabinet member would not stand for 24 hours, before economists, armed with science, react angrily, and most journalists ask for a formal note/paper outlining the government’s argument.
Labelling a paper the worst ever just wouldn’t suffice.
Trump advisor and Fed chair also-ran Hassett wants researchers behind NY Fed paper that reached a conclusion on tariffs that runs against the political views of the administration "disciplined" for their work. Here's the paper: www.reuters.com/world/us/ny-...
(I guess each author, from NY Fed and Columbia, will be sued for 9 bn. dollars now 😀)
Is it possible to compare this to some Warsh-free baseline so as to highlight how he may talk different than others?
NEW: @potus letter to @jonasgahrstore links @NobelPrize to Greenland, reiterates threats, and is forwarded by the NSC staff to multiple European ambassadors in Washington. I obtained the text from multiple officials: Dear Ambassador: President Trump has asked that the following message, shared with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, be forwarded to your [named head of government/state] “Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT”

Technically, how do the US customs “charge” these countries? And do they pay it to the US treasury? 🤔
Copenhagen town hall square, Denmark right now.
Massive solidarity with Greenland demonstrations.

The USA has an unserious and incredibly stupid government.

These are disturbed people
Is #Trump ever going to suggest that Americans should stop doing drugs? Are drug problems always a supply side issue?

Aaaargh. The same as the one I sold in 1985. Worst decision ever. Congrats on having it.
Mel Brooks Silent Movie vibes!
