The most masculine thing to do is be afraid some people might say some mean things to you
@fetterman.senate.gov, the biggest disappointment of a senator ever.
Where are my #hacktivists at? Can we spam the "end DEI" reporting portal and break it?

Tell me you're redlining without telling me you're redlining
How did I not know about @5calls.org and the easy to use app?? Will make my daily calls to representatives much easier.

as someone with a parent F31 to be reviewed in March, I would support this.
Best part of my day is morning Snug on the Rug™️ time with my (usually not that snuggly) cat Frisbee
The #PEPFAR tracker is following the real time impact of each passing day of the funding suspensions spurred by the USAID funding freeze. Although there is a waiver to allow dispersion of ART, this is not happening because clinic workers have been laid off. People are dying.

Incredible work everyone. Science will never be silenced!
Insane, especially given that many journals have their own strict standards around these terms, particularly around gender and sex
if you're looking for flu or COVID data that is suddenly no longer supplied by the cdc, delphi.cmu.edu has a number of their signals mirrored. there's an api, which has r cmu-delphi.github.io/epidatr/arti... and Python epidatpy.readthedocs.io/ interfaces. only wish there were more mirrored.
Wtf

The Internet Archive has to date downloaded 500 terabytes of US government websites, which it crawls at the end of every presidential term. The whole archive is fully searchable. This effort's housed by a donation-funded nonprofit, not a branch of the US government. blog.archive.org/2024/05/08/e...
down for me, too. API working through tidycensus (frantically downloading anything I think I might need in the foreseeable future)
If you're a journalist downloading CDC data today, please consider filling out this form so we have a centralized guide to who has what. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
how can they terminate contracts based on EO? doesn't congress determine where / how much money is spent? Can someone w/ more policy knowledge than me please explain?
This account is for sharing info with US scientists, both extramural and intramural to NIH, about attacks on science in the US.
