Update on @nicr.dev's and my lawsuit against NMBS ๐
In an overwhelming victory, the judge ruled today that NMBS illegally denied our reimbursement claim, and must reimburse us in full + cover full procedural costs.
The court followed our reasoning completely, and dismissed all points NMBS made. ๐

I find it really funny the non-woke list is empty
Great tattoos!
Today is my last day with the Deno team ๐ฆ๐๐
I know they're gonna keep making awesome things.
But now *I* need to make awesome things for someone else! If you're looking for a DevRel with a JS focus and extra sparkle, get in touch!
John is an absolutely incredible UX design expert. If you are looking for someone who can come up with, implement, and test your UX flows, you should hire him.
Snap him up
Yesterday was my last day at Deno.
I'm sad to leave but I'm proud of everything the team and I were able to build. I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people I've met. I wish them all the best!
I'm actively looking for my next challenge, my DMs are open!

Alice is a great name too!
Hi Alice :D
x265 reencodes suck, mostly because of generation loss, but also because they're released by the kind of guy who puts spaces in the file names

Letterboxd screenshot Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) Watched by Branson Reese 28 Apr 2022 Abrams isn't a man so much as he's an avatar of cultural entropy. If you make something popular enough eventually you will die or sell it off and and a person in thick rimmed glasses whose main artistic vision is that he loves to have meetings will take it and sandblast it until it's nothing. I hate to see this happen here but maybe it's good that this happened. Maybe every franchise should collapse into a version of itself that makes shareholders nod and shake each others' hands. We should learn to speak in a language that rich people who don't dream can't comprehend.
i often think about this review
hey uhhh. I got fired yesterday. if anyone has rust positions in the Netherlands let me know!
where did you get them, they look great
The Board of Governors decided, unilaterally, that no published textbook in the field of sociology could be used in compliance with the law for an Intro to Sociology class. None. Victor: There's not a single existing textbook on the market that could be used that would qualify under state law? Zachary: Correct. Victor: I'm sorry, that's kind of funny. Like, the absurdity of not a single sociology textbook getting past the censors. I mean, it makes me kind of proud of our colleagues, but...
I do want to shout-out my fellow sociologists, who have collectively created a discipline so woke that not a single one of our introductory textbooks can make it past Florida's censors.
Great work everyone.
This has been a long time coming. Super proud of the team - we completely rewrote Deno Deploy in the last year. It's better in every single way than the original.
Not to toot our own horn, but I think it's the best place to deploy your Deno/Node.js apps (and frameworks!)
Try it at deno.com/deploy!
A whole pile of pin buttons with the rust logo on top of the progress pride flag.
If you want a Rust button and a discount code for RustWeek, come find me at FOSDEM this weekend!
I now have bright pink hair, so should be easy to find :)

According to The Guardian, one of the two studies, the Pathways Trial, will randomly divide some 226 participants between the ages of 10 and 16 into two groups. One will receive puberty blocking medication immediately, while the second will receive the medication after a year. Participants' quality of life, emotional well-being, and physical development will be compared to those of a third group, which will not receive puberty blockers.
