What’s on the other side?

I have a hard time being enthusiastic about Blue Origin and Space X. Musk & Bezos are rich enough to launch rockets but they don’t pay taxes that benefit the rest of society. Launching rockets just strokes their egos.
A fox-red lab sitting on flagstones and smiling into the camera with his mouth open.
Here’s my pup, Fred. He’s a very, very, very good boy.
Trump has already had a devastating impact on US automakers in term of the tariffs on steel and aluminum. China would just finish the job.
Cleaning and sanitizing is what set’s you up to succeed and separates the good brewers from the bad. I am surprised how many brewpubs have poor quality practices. If you can’t get this right, it’s not going to taste good.
After seeing Naz’s session on his experience with remote imaging, my club’s astrophoto group is pursuing this.
Quite the gentleman! He told me he has a remote observatory and is renting spots. 🤔
No. I missed your post.
Did you win it at NEIAC or NEAF? I was at the NEIAC raffle but left before the NEAF raffle.
I did go to Naz’s talk on remote NINA and I ran into Astropunk on the NEAF floor Saturday morning.
Next year we’ll have to plan better.
Too bad I missed you. I was at NEIAC and NEAF. Next year for sure.
Lucky! There’s only one certain thing in this universe. If I have a raffle ticket, I’m not going to win.
Not a surprise it can be imaged in broad daylight. I have yet to image M42 without blowing out the Trapezium. 🤨
Great to meet you today at NEAF. Hope you have a good rest of the show and safe travels home.
Nicely done Mike. Do you use synthetic LUM or do you capture LUM for your LRGB images?
I’ll be there.
Nice Knoll Womb Chair in the background.
You’ll love that it gives you a lot more control like gas does. We had to buy a few new pots and pans to replace ones we thought were compatible that were not.
They are still rockin’ hard after all these years.
What an opener. Still rockin’ hard after all these years.

Here is my Grandfather’s 1956 Gibson 8-string pedal steel guitar. I finished cleaning it up but still need to reassemble the pedal mechanism. I’ve set it up for C6 tuning. It’s been fun learning to play it.
You’ve got the Jeff Beck “no pick technique” down.
This is the problem with cloud-based software & content… You never actually own it & may not exist next week.
That’s why I prefer guitars, telescopes and CDs. If I take care of them, I’ll use them for the rest of my life. Or I can sell them to someone else.
Congrats! Looking forward to getting mine and reading it.
This is a good beer. For a less inebriated experience their Rare Vos and Hennepin are also excellent.
I think it’s going to happen because it’s not just one company, it’s many companies in many countries that want to put satellites up there. One can only hope we’ll get a massive EMP discharge from the sun that wipes them all out.
Nice to see someone putting clear skies to good use. I’m working on this one with a 2 other people. The weather has not been kind. 😕
Nice. What scope and camera did you use? Now if I could only get a couple of good nights without the wind, clouds or full moon.
Haha… I feel that way about Windows. To me it’s barely usable, provides almost no feedback to the user and takes forever to wake up from sleep. I am forced to use Windows at work even after I offered to buy a Mac to use.
