Will Locked On Mariners be changing at all, or is Ty just doing more now?

You should post a link!

It's clearly a deepfake. I can tell by the pixels.

It's been a bit since I've actually used Debian, but it'll always be one of my favorites.

Fedora and PopOS.

I absolutely wish more people realized this. My boomer parents have been using Linux for years, and they have never been IT pros or anything like that.

They're doing it without my help too. Until recently I wasn't even sure which distro they were running.

OpenOffice is dead. Use LibreOffice.

Unfortunately Ur-Quan Masters fixed my favorite bug/exploit from the original.

You could sell your landers fast enough that there would be an integer overflow that would leave you with many more than the game could handle (255 probably?), which you could then also sell. Rinse, Repeat, Easy Mode.

This is one my favorites of all time. I was just blown away at the scale of the universe.

This is what I'm using too. It's annoying how poorly it interprets my swipes, but at least they aren't watching me.

Just remember that vim is like a language, with verbs, subjects, etc. Don't expect to be fluent right away. Learn enough to get by, then as you find certain things that seem more annoying than they should be, you find better ways to do those things.

You might also start by installing one of the vscode exensions that let's you use vim commands there. It can be a lot to learn a new environment at the same time.

First, look into vimtutor. It'll give you a good introduction into the basics of how to move around and edit text. Once you have that stuff down, you'll be able to learn more and get more efficient.

mini.files is my preference. It works the same basically, but the interface is better imo.

Is it vim motions and commands that you're looking for help with, or the editor itself?

You can change to another desktop environment. One of the primary advantages of Linux is that you can change out the parts that you don't like.

Only if you have a strong opinion on vim vs emacs.

Radio Shack Pong system with light gun

Radio Shack Pong system with light gun

A Radio Shack Pong system that belonged to my dad originally. It obviously doesn't get much use, but it does still work. Old electronics were great!

You're describing Arch Linux.

Jim Harbaugh's family coaching tree is crazy, he's head coach of the Chargers, his brother is head coach of the Ravens, his son is a coordinator with the Seahawks and now his dad is the head coach of the Raiders

Have you tried the vimium extension? It's more than a '/', but you can do most things quickly without touching your mouse.

Trump Disbands Cybersecurity Board Investigating Massive Chinese Phone System Hack For all the hype and warnings about how TikTok is clearly a “national security threat” from China, the Trump administration has effectively kneecapped the investigation into one of the most serious…

So, TikTok is supposedly a national security threat from China, but it seems odd that there's been almost no mainstream press coverage of Trump dismantling the board investigating the Salt Typhoon hack which is an ACTUAL PROVEN hack from China & incredibly damaging. www.techdirt.com/2025/01/23/t...

I did play with this before. It'll probably be what I start with when I get to the nix way.

I can see why. I got lost pretty quickly trying to figure out what you have going on there. I love seeing how people can accomplish the same goal in different ways.

You know, I saw the thumbnail for that one and meant to get back to it. I'll have to take a look.
