The Norfolk Lion account is constantly sharing xenophobic, anti-Islam, and racist content.

Go and look at the video on Twitter/X. It is not genuine. I explained why in a previous reply.
The video is so obviously fake. Would police officers question a rape suspect on the street, on phone video? Would they ask questions about the effect on the victim? And allow it to be posted on random Instagram account? It would be a massive breach of procedure, of confidentiality & a data breach.

Cultural Sensitivity Be aware of cultural differences and avoid idioms (Idioms are phrases that are common in a language or culture that means something different from how it literally sounds such as "the early bird catches the worm") or phrases that may not translate well across cultures. It adds: "English phrases or sayings like 'it's raining cats and dogs' may need to be explained to international colleagues or patients."
Susan Hall, yet again, shares a fake news story. This time, it is about an alleged NHS ban on phrases like "raining cats and dogs" due to "cultural sensitivity". The truth is much simpler: idioms are not universally known and understood, and misunderstandings in health matters are best avoided.
Thank you!

It will not surprise you that Tory leader of the London Assembly Susan Hall has shared this without engaging her critical faculties.
NHS claims 'it's raining cats and dogs'is culturally insensitive Doctors and nurses in Lancashire told some idioms risk offending 'international colleagues or patients' Doctors and nurses have been ordered not to say "it's raining cats and dogs" and "the early bird catches the worm" to avoid offending foreign patients. Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust instructed staff against using the phrases in its diversity and inclusion training, claiming that the terms were not culturally sensitive. It warned that the terms "may not translate well across other cultures" and may need to be explained to international colleagues or patients.
No, the NHS didn’t do anything of the sort.
The evidence the NHS didn’t do that is the third paragraph in the hit piece.
Any decent paper would have trashed the piece during the pitch phase, but the Telegraph runs dozens of these articles every single day. The Telegraph must be destroyed
Yes, please, make the Snapchat smart glasses look *exactly* like this. Visible from a distance so we can avoid the douches wearing them.
OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.
Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

I checked this too.

Good grief, what a ghoul he is.
Gold and copper tongues found in mummies, also gold leaf, and Book 2 of the Iliad. These Roman era Egyptian mummies are historically and culturally significant themselves, but also show the sharing of cultures in the Roman period in Egypt.

Wrote a justification of Boris Johnson's lockdown breaking parties too.

Ditto his literary criticism.
As James Baldwin put it: "We can disagree and still love each other unless your disagreement is rooted in my oppression and denial of my humanity and right to exist." Students should be entitled to protest that far right parties who threaten their very existence should be banned from campus.
So not only are people who have come to the UK seeking safety placed in fear and limbo by the current government, but also with the potential of Reform winning the next election.
Not only is this proposed policy utterly racist and inhumane, it is also batshit crazy.

Personally don't recommend these. As the article notes, these properties are typically achieved through PFAS, which can shed carcinogens in your home (which you then inhale) or come out in the wash (polluting waterways for decades). Will try to do a thread on how to treat stains in the wash.

More research is necessary but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalised vaccine are still alive six years later.
Congratulations, Andrew!

I dunno about you, but I think Rutger Hauer's soliloquy in Bladerunner was much better.
Don't apologise - you've nailed it.
