Yesterday I got to play one of my original songs with a drummer for the very first time ever.....
And it sounded cool!!
I recorded the rehearsal on my phone and will be putting out the audio my mailing list later this week!

Until CD Baby fixed the issue on their end....

Would've been nice if CD Baby let me know a month ago that my new album couldn't be delivered to the iTunes store/Apple Music for some inexplicable reason!

I've decided to revisit some of the TV shows I have on DVD and which I haven't watched in a hot minute.
Just finished rewatching the pilot for Miami Vice, which I have on DVD.
Still holds up really well and am enjoying it all over again! :)

If I ever need a good cry, the song Si j'étais moi by Zazie (title translates to If I Were Me) always does it. Been feeling really down today. Not feeling like myself lately.
All I can do is hope that it gets better.
I was watching a Zazie concert yesterday and now I'm inspired to write an original song in French. It'll never be as good lyrically as her, but hey, I can give it a try.
I do love singing and writing in French. It's just been a while.
I now have a first draft of a song, so we'll see what happens!
A few days ago, I wrote a happy, bouncy song.
Today I wrote a sad song.....

Inspiration comes from the most random places sometimes.
Today I saw a pink Maserati I saw while I was riding around on my bike.
Ended up writing a very jaunty, bouncy song about it, in a style that's unlike what I've written before.
Really enjoying playing it, we'll see what happens to it! :)

OMG I logged into my Soundcloud account for the first time in ages and was reminded of a song I first performed back in 2018 and haven't sung really since 2021.
The song is called Water on Glass and was one of the first lesbian songs I ever wrote.
I may have to do an updated version. We'll see!

I sometimes deal with really bad episodes of depression and today is no exception. I'm so glad I'm seeing my therapist later today. I know she'll help me.

I'm feeling a bit better now, but like with any sickness, it'll take time to recover.
