Started a Lunatic difficulty playthrough and, holy shit, I’m getting one-shotted by basic bots.

Pragmata
✅ Hugh & Diana dynamic
✅ Novel, exciting puzzle-action combat hybrid
✅ Fun and satisfying exploration
✅ Fantastic ending sequences
❌ Approach to storytelling doesn’t do it justice
9 / 10
“Moving forward, we will continue making every effort to deliver the appeal of Pragmata to an even broader audience."
Sounds like this is the start of a new franchise for Capcom. 🥳
What a sick title screen
Still early, but it’s so good
Kid Icarus
✅ Tight platforming
✅ Well-designed stages with good variety of enemies
✅ Great OST
❌ Boss fights are underwhelming
❌ Progression can feel a bit obtuse or stagnant

DOOM Eternal for me.
I haven’t been into FPS games since the 360 era. But I played Eternal a couple years ago and adored it. I’ll probably try out the newer Wolfenstein games in the near future because of it.
So when I’m choosing between two games I *think* I’ll like, but one is 8-hours vs the other at 40-hours…
I’m just almost always going to choose the 40-hour long game. Unless I’m *particularly* excited about the shorter one, like I am in this instance for Pragmata.
Another thing, I generally agree with overall enjoyment being what’s most important. The problem is that you don’t really *know* if you’ll enjoy it until you’ve already spent the money to play it.
That’s why I specified it with, “on the time investment side.”
I don’t think ‘bang for your buck’ should only entail time investment. But the time investment is an important part of it for me and what I’m typically willing to spend. It’s not the *whole* equation, though.
Yeah, that’s annoying.
There are so many short games I’ve played that have felt monumental in one way or another, regardless of time investment.
I’m honestly kinda part of that group. Not that I think short games aren’t ever worth that price. But for me and my limited funds, I like to get more ‘bang for my buck’ on the time investment side.
That being said, I preordered Pragmata today lol. I’ve been too hyped for it for too long.
Replaying Super Mario Galaxy 2 reminds me of my exact problems with it back in the day.
The almost entire removal of a true hub area is a bummer and the game feels like a ton of DLC bonus levels rather than a new game on its own.
Still great, but it lacks the epic, grand feeling of the original.
So incredibly excited for Pragmata. Ever since its initial reveal in 2020(!) I’ve wanted to play it.
Happy to see it receiving critical acclaim and can’t wait for the 17th!
I’m about to start up 2 as well! I haven’t played 2 since its release.
Not gonna include it in end of year lists since it’s a replay, but Super Mario Galaxy is one of the most obvious 10 out of 10 video games ever created.
Finished it today, but will keep playing for 100%.

Decided I’m going to replay Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2

In that awkward state where I don’t know what to play while I await Pragmata’s release.
Can’t start something that might take too long to beat, but playing something too short leaves another awkward timeframe.
Yes, but for a remake it’s odd. And Early Access is usually used for games that aren’t linear and story-based.
I’m sure if it’s true it’s mostly just for technical testing or whatever. Or maybe it’s not as traditional of a remake as people assume.
Early Access for a campaign-only remake??
LocoRoco 2 Remastered
✅ As beautiful and whimsical as the first
✅ Well-designed levels with well-hidden collectibles
✅ Mui Mui house
❌ Pacing is a bit off due to mandatory mini-games + a weird stage select screen
❌ Collectibles are often too easily missable
❌ Some new gimmicks don’t hit

Gonna start up LocoRoco 2 before my PS+ Premium subscription ends!
I really enjoyed the first game. Excited to see what the sequel has to offer.
Every time AI gets talked about in this context, they always say something like, “the final product reflects the creativity & expression of our development team,” without ever going into detail about what that looks like.
AI will be used in games going forward. I just want *actual* transparency.
Lunar Remastered Collection is platinum trophy 71, btw
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue
✅ Character-focused stories
✅ Fleshes out lore of Lunar in a satisfying way
✅ Narrative is more ambitious than Lunar 1, but maintains its classic feel
✅ Solid turn-based combat
❌ Inter-party relationships aren’t as established
❌ Permanent AI-controlled party member
8.5 / 10
Hell yeaaaa
why tf would they reveal / confirm this less than a week before the movie comes out???
why just ruin a cool surprise???
Nice! I’ve still gotta try a Saints Row game sometime.
Is there anything to say regarding PS5 outselling the Switch 2 in the US for several months straight now?
I know both are selling well, regardless, but I assume sales lowering to that degree wasn’t anticipated for Nintendo with the launch they had.
